Nederlands Nieuws was a Dutch newspaper by Mattio. The paper was founded on day 1,525, after Mattio had been away from eRepublik for 500 days. After another period of inactivity, the newspaper restarted publishing on day 2,670.
Nederlands Nieuws used to publish in Dutch or bilingual, writing English as well. Nowadays, it shifted to English only with possible exceptions. It used to be a member of the former Dutch Media Group.

Philosophy
Nederlands Nieuws actively focused on political analysis and interviewing prominent Dutch politicians. It wished to encourage open, in-game debate and inform a wide audience about political developments, while at the same time being a neutral and observing voice in Dutch journalism.
Knight in the order of Oranje-Nassau
For his activities with Nederlands Nieuws, Mattio received the medal of the Knight in the order of Oranje-Nassau from the president NoTie112 on day 1,537.
