In January of 2009, he again ran in Victoria, this time under the Australian Democratic Socialist Party. He received 3 votes, which was enough to see him reelected.

In February 2009, he again ran under the banned of the Australian Democratic Socialist Party, again in Victoria, and was successfully elected to Senate, with 10 votes. This was the 6th highest votes of any senators that month.

In March 2009, he ran for the first time under the banner of the True Blue Party, a party which he helped to found. He ran again in Victoria, and received 6 votes this month.

In April 2009, he ran in Victoria under the True Blue Party, and was successfully re-elected with 13 votes.

In May 2009, he decided to run in New South Wales. During this month, he received 20 votes.

In June 2009, he ran for New South Wales again. He received 31 votes this month, and that was second only to maclaren11 in total votes.
