The Democratic Red and Black Party
The D.R.B. is a left wing liberatarian/anarchic political party that believes in direct democracy (the government where everyone has the opportunity to change the laws they run by) and state run economic sectors (having government funded companies to prevent inflation and product depressions).
History
The DRB is what is part of a long line of Far Left parties, designed to be the new Far Left of the parties of eSA. Following the move in the BLF (Black Lion Front) from far left to center left, then-member Ryan Dagari fealt as though the members of the party were moving in a path that he could just not follow. He eventually peacefully broke off, and created the Democratic Anarcho-Socialism party, the first communist party of eSouth Africa.
The DAS party never got off the ground, and stayed out of the top 5 parties for several months. Eventually, with the permission of his peers, he moved his party into the dormant Democratic Socialist party, which was #5 in the top 5 list. Ryan Dagari, learning from his past mistake, instead named the party the Democratic Red and Black party, in recognition of the political ideologies colors. It has exactly parallel views to the DAS party, but had the ability to reach out to other people. Shortly after renaming, however, the Workers party of eSA passed over the DRB and kept the DRB in it's position for almost 2 months.
In the March congressional elections, the DRB was very excited, as the workers party had collapsed and the DRB has moved into the top 5 spot, putting them up for its first congressional election in the DAS-DRB's 5 month history. Right before the elections, Dagari, the party president, was approached by a Brazillian, telling him that he would like to bring 20-30 foreigners into the party in exchange for the party presidency. Dagari refused, and eventually the Brazillians decided to join the party anyway, and swarm the congressional elections.
Dagari, fearing people would think that he was trying for a political takeover, worked diligently to halt it, and contacted foreign nations to send citizens to vote for patriotic candidates. FA (free africa) used this situation to their advantage, and told eSA not to vote for the DRB at all, and to only vote BLF and FA. This infuriated many of the DRB's patriotic members, who were looking forward to their first election into congress, and could not see why FA would not admit that there were still good candidates in the DRB. Regardless, the DRB elected 2 patriotic candidates, and 4 Brazillian candidates, despite putting forward 6 patriotic candidates who had more experience than most people in the country.
Ryan Dagari did not forgive FA, and continues to despise Black8Shadow (FA party president) as a result.
Political History

Ryan Dagari has been the party president of both the DAS and DRB for it's entire five month history.
November - DAS is created. November to January - DAS remains as the largest minor party in eSA not in the top5. Late January - DRB is founded off of the DAS party in a political party switch. Late March - The DRB hold's its first congressional elections, and votes in 2 eSouth African candidates.

In a direct democracy everyone has the ability to have their opinions and requests heard. Imagine a country where no matter who you are, petty farmer or leader of a massive corporation, you have the same rights and voice as everyone else. Everyone, talking in Erepublik terms, is a congressman or congresswoman. You all are given the right to vote and create potential laws, which in turn would be voted on by everyone else. This is the free-est form of government possible, before complete anarchy.
Democratic Red
It is strongly pushed that everyone, no matter who they are, is given equal economic and civil rights as the next person. There is no cabinet, the cabinet are the people. There is no congress, the congress is the people. There is no representation besides yourself, and you yourself have an unlimited number of votes which you can use to shape your own future.
Red Economy
Having a communist economy sounds scary to a lot of people. It doesn't work well in real life, and it has many flaws that are caused by greed. In Erepublik, the world is a lot different. You can have a state run economy without bogging down civil liberties.
You do not own a company. Instead, you work for a wage that far exceeds anything you would ever get with your own company. There is no competition, so prices, set by yourselves after discussion, are placed on the market. There are unlimited funds for as things sell, the money just comes back into your own pocket, regardless of what sector you work for. Eventually, you may even aspire to be an economist, and you can help the government run the companies. If you can garner the public to your side, you can accomplish all your economic dreams.
