She has served two terms as a member of Congress.
Elvea was also a Party president of Mouvement Des Révolutionnaires.
In May 2008 Elvea has moved to Xinjiang province controlled by Indonesia.
She has joined Indonesian political party Indonesian Defensive Socialist.
