Military

Army

Finnish army is lead by the Finnish president who commands the Ministry of Defence. Usually though the Army operates in co-operation with EDEN rather than under direct command of the President.

Ministry of Defence consists of the Supreme Commander who has the Operative Commander and the HQ Commander directly beneath him in the chain of command. In addition to these three, there's also the Assistant Secretary of State who takes care of minor miscellancelous tasks.

Supreme Commander and Operative Commander communicate with EDEN while HQ Commander relays the orders to the lower commanders and keeps the HQ in nice and tidy order.

Each army unit has its own Commander and they work under the command of the MoD Commanders.

As of March 2011 Finnish Army contains three different units:

  • PPr - The small-numbered elite unit
  • NTJ - The professional army unit
  • HTJ - The army unit for normal citizens

Ex-units:

  • NGD - The only Finnish Army group during the Rising

This war was used as a training war between Sweden and Finland. Finland launched the attack because it had smaller population.

Finland-Latvia War

Icon-Finland.png Finland vs Icon-Russia.png Russia
This front was opened due to Russia attacking USA, a nation allied with Finland. The war was waged primarily on Norwegian soil but on 31st of October, Russia attacked Finland in Oulu and after that, Lapland and Eastern Finland. In a couple of days, Finland reclaimed the regions.

Russia continues to assault Finland with the help of Latvia who had control of Southern Finland for a very short peroid of time. Russia almost succeeded in annexing Finland but once again were pushed back right at the point they could have won it. Finland has sacrificed its home regions in the past to defend other EDEN nations under attack, like Croatia.

Later, at the Battle of Rhone Alps between Poland and Slovenia. Finland chose to sacrifice its existence to drain damage from the Russians, with an additional hope that being annexed will bring a baby boom for Finland. After the last region, Southern Finland, went down, most of survived Finnish evacuated to Volga Vyatka for further reconciliation.
