Parcham Shir va Khorshid (Sun and Lion Flag) is the current flag of Iran.
Meaning of the Flag
Green color: symbolizes nature and Irans prosperity and also development (start building your country)
White color: symbolizes peace (make peace)
Red color: symbolizes war and blood (in its entirety one believes in fighting for ones right)
Sun, Lion and Sword: The Lion symbolizes strength and power. The sword also show strength but it also shows that the lion, the Iranian people, are ready to fight and defend their homeland. The sun symbolizes light, purity and warmth. The crown stands for monarchy.
