2008
During the first two months of 2008, the Brazilian economy was in a crisis, mainly because various companies were created by newcomers with no expertise. Within two weeks, many of them bankrupted, only the stable ones sustained their positions.
With all these problems and spending BRL with some investments in bigger companies, the treasury went down, until the stabilization in late February/early March 2008 with a government and consequently economic change.
In March 2008 the country had a protectionist policy concerning import taxes.
