Prologue

Writing up the full history of Finland has been a life-long project for Ministers of Culture and Education. Kuhaa managed to finish this task on August 2009, but the job is not done yet. It is of course utmost priority that Finns themselves know the history of their country, but also foreigners should learn the event-rich and proud history of our small nation. Many events that have shaped the world have started from Finland, and sometimes even ended here. Starting from the early days of eRepublik, continuing from the release of V1 and finally carrying on to present day, there has not been a day when Finland has not been on the news one way or another.

After days of extensive writing and finding proper translations for Finnish expressions, I managed to translate the history of Finland so far into English. It is my wish this text helps foreign people understand Finns and their mindset, and see what our country has gone through during its past. Because of the length of the text, I decided to publish this document in pieces, starting with this introduction and then continuing on publishing the history in segments, divided into articles separated by presidential term changes or important events.

Introduction

Finland has always been a small country in eRepublik. Despite being small, the compact and friendly community of Finns makes Finland significant and unique - everybody in Finland know each other, so the apparent weakness of having a small population can also be seen as a strength. The dangers, challenges and conflicts Finland has faced during its existence demonstrate clearly the co-operation and spirit Finns have, as during times of need all Finns have managed to push forward and unite against a common foe.

Finns have experienced how it feels being occupied and oppressed. Separating from Norway would have not been possible without the flawless co-operation, dedication and diligence of the people and their leaders. Finns are not without a flaw though. Despite having been oppressed themselves, Finns have also oppressed other people - the grain fields of Latvia were under Finnish possession for a while, as well as some Russian regions. Finland has fought and contributed to her allies in global conflicts, even sometimes risking her own existence for them, but regardless of that, Finland has managed to survive and prosper.

Writing a summary of Finland's history has been demanded for a long time. Many people still remember Erwin Schauman's colourful depictions about Finland's early past and an interview of Riku Mellin on Quality Grain News. However, these texts have covered only a fraction of Finland's past - something more holistic and exhaustive was needed. While skimming through archives I noticed that my first sketches on Finland's early history are from April 2009, when the demand to write up Finland's history was again under discussion.

I have written these texts as the Minister of Education and Culture on request of Gabriel Lavanche, the President of Finland on August 2009. As source literature and references I have used eHelsinki eUniversity Academic Books, which I have assembled myself partially (wiki). To finish the task I gained access to congress archives, where I had the right and privilege to see and examine audio and video recordings of old sessions and meetings by the congress, and digital copies of old newspapers. Also the former President Okkius Pyromanius let me interview himself on historical events. I also wish to thank my colleagues in the government for proof-reading the full text, especially avec and Scadens contributed much in tweaking the text into its final form.

The purpose of this series is meant to convey a piece of our nation's history to new players and to refresh the rich history of Finland to old veterans, while looking at events as objectively and neutral as possible.

Prehistory of Finland

Life on Finland began on 20th of November 2007, when eRepublik started its rocky existence. Not much information from those times has survived, mostly because the Finnish community was sparse and few back then, and only a select few from those times are still with us. At first there were only two parties in Finland: Death Star Supporters and Finnish National Front. Politics was not an interesting or serious business back then, and people jumped parties often.

On 2nd of December 2007 Finland elected her first president, Ape from Death Star Supporters. Ape was elected as the President four times in a row, being still the only president in Finland's history who has been a President longer than one term. After Ape, SeeDub from Finnish National Front became the next President of Finland.

Era of Occupation: Life under the Rule of Great Norway

War module was added to the game on 7th of April 2008, and on 18th of April Norway declared war against Finland. Finns were a relatively strong people at that time, but they were outnumbered against the Norwegians - with approximately only 100 citizens, they could not beat the militaristic Norwegians. Only two weeks after the release of the war module, on 21st of April, all Finland's six regions had been lost to Norway, and Finland was annexed to the Norwegian Empire.

After facing defeat many Finns moved abroad, some to Greece and some to USA, to start a new life. The hope to regain independence was not however lost, and a strong recruitment campaign was launched to gain new players. The campaign took long to succeed, but finally in August 2008 a wave of Finnish players emerged in Norway. From August to September Finns had gained over one thousand players, and a party called Sovereign Finland came to be the largest party in the world with its 1,400 members. Its sole purpose was to free Finland and give Finland independence, and on September Presidential elections Inunova, a Finn was elected as the President of Norway.

Inunova had long made co-operation with Norwegians, but the quick rise of Sovereign Finland did not please native Norwegian leaders. Despite the possibility of a hostile take-over by Finns was great, Norwegians were assured that Finns did not want anything bad happen to Norway. Finns simply stated that they wanted their original regions back. Indeed, nothing harmful was done to Norway by the Finnish leadership. Having Inunova as their leader, Finns were now closer to achieving this goal than ever before.

The Gold Scandal

At the end of August 2008 Forconin, the President of Norway stole 4,000 Gold from the country treasury "to safeguard" it from the Finns, whom at that time seemed able to take over the presidential seat in the next CP elections. This caused a stir amongst Finns, and relations between Finns and Norwegians were extremely tense because of this incident.

Eventually a more peaceful and diplomatic approach was chosen to start negotiations about regaining independence, and an official discussion between Finnish and Norwegian leadership began. After prolonged negotiations under the leadership of Inunova, Jafarin, Esanssi and Erwin Schauman, Norwegians finally accepted Finland's right for independence.

Independence

When V1 was released, it had been settled that Finland was ready to be liberated. Norway agreed to pay for the first two Resistance Wars, and the region of Eastern Finland was the first region in V1 era to be successfully liberated via RW. At that time walls were 100,000 points in every region regardless of population, and because of the relatively low strength of people back then, the battle to free the region lasted for days.

Presidential elections of November were darkened by a party of Portuguese immigrants, who claimed that they had come in Finland to help it grow and prosper. The attitudes of native Finns were however strongly against the newcomers, and to gain a definite Finnish majority for the elections, also Southern Finland was quickly liberated. In the elections Finns elected a Finnish president for themselves, nanton. Under nanton's leadership the Finnish government and regime were founded and organized, the first congressional code of conduct was formed and the first ministries were conceived. Also the first Finnish military unit was formed: Suomen Vapaajoukko (Finnish Volunteer Corps), which was later to become the famed NTJ, Finnish Rapid Deployment Force. The rest of the Finnish regions were liberated in the SPEAR'08 military exercise between Finland and Norway, and the last remaining Finnish region was liberated on 6th of December 2008.

Reconstruction of Finland

After regaining her independence, Finland resembled a barren wasteland. Getting the economy and political infrastructure up and running required most of the effort, but luckily Finland had experienced politicians already back then, whose co-operation and hard work slowly paid effort.

During Scadens' term as president on December 2008 several memorable and long-term decisions were made. For example the future of NTJ was thought up, construction of hospitals was started and relations with ATLANTIS countries were built in order to one day become a member. Scadens is especially remembered of his ”slip” on the first day in office, when a phone call between him and the President of Sweden almost caused a full-blown war between Finland and Sweden.[1] There was no real danger however, and the situation was laughed upon already in the same evening. During Scadens' term the nationalistic party called Isänmaallinen Kansanpuolue (Patriotic People's Party) succeeded in negotiating the 500 Gold back to Finland which SeeDub, former President of Finland had taken from Finland's treasury into custody just before Finland had been conquered by Norway.

The reconstruction effort continued in January 2009, when Pete1 from Liberaali Edistyspuolue (Liberal Advancement Party) was elected as president. Since December Finland had been building good relations with her neighbors Sweden and, even her former oppressor, Norway. The military buildup Finland had experienced divided the nation in half, and invading Karelia (the region of Leningrad-Oblast) was a main theme in both December and January CP elections. During Pete1's term the government began issuing official announcements in the media, and the first government campaign to support import licenses started. One negative event during Pete1's term was the destruction of one Q4 hospital in a fire, but luckily no personnel casualties occurred.[2]

Karelia back! Finland joins ATLANTIS

As stated before, the right-wing party IKP wanted to conquer Leningrad-Oblast, which was under Norwegian rule at the time. Leningrad-Oblast is a region where Karelia is located, an area which RL Finland lost during WW2 to the Soviet Union. The invasion of this region was justified by peoplehood, revenge to Russia, and possible baby boom which the conquest of Karelia would bring. Those who objected the idea were at least as vocal as the proponents, and they claimed that relations with Norway which had taken much effort should not be thrown away by a totally futile conquest war, and buying the region was not an option because of the worthlessness of the region.

In the end Finland did not attack Karelia, but instead one of the world's two military alliances, ATLANTIS, accepted Finland as its member on 4th of January. The decision to apply for membership was a natural choice for Finland, because her neighbours, Norway and Sweden also belonged to ATLANTIS. NTJ, which had improved hugely during Pete1's term in terms of organisation and logistics, began participating in ATLANTIS military operations against PEACE GC forces. NTJ soon became one of the most known military units in the world because of its well organised co-ordinated strikes.

An Era of Steady Growth

On the presidential elections of February 2009 three very different parties made a coalition to back a common candidate: Isänmaallinen Kansanpuolue (Nationalistic People's Party), Sininen Puolue (The Blue Party) and Red Jihad supported Okkius Pyromanius for president, while his opponents were Erwin Schauman from Liberaali Edistyspuolue (Liberal Advancement Party) and Jumala from Suomen Sosialistinen Puolue (Finnish Socialistic Party). The president of Finland for February was to be Erwin Schauman who is known for his vast network of foreign contacts.

One feat Erwin Schauman is known for is the founding of Ministry of Lulz, which' goal was to set up competitions and fun for the frost-bitten nation. Also the builders of Finland, who had paid money from their own pocket to get Finland up and running were acknowledged by government paid back the loan it had received from them earlier. During Erwin's term the congressional code of conduct was written up and placed on congress hallways, and [[Ministry of Finance began monitoring its income and spending in more detail.

Congress activity became an issue during February, when a visiting reporter revealed that most of the congressmen slept through congress sessions, leaving the work to be done only to a few active members. There was discussion to grant everyone right to participate in congress debates as well as to form a second chamber to the congress, but neither of the ideas were implemented in practice.

The same as nowadays, people complained about the acute boredom in Finland. Erwin Schauman gained popularity by initiating the ANVIL'09 multinational military exercise with Norway.[3] Citizens who had long been inactive were finally let to fight in a battle, and where else than in Karelia, against the Norwegians for the first time since independence wars.

Okkius, The Divine and Muscular President of Finland

March presidential elections caused a stir in Finnish party politics. The factions of the last month's coalition accused Red Jihad of breaking the coalition, because Okkius Pyromanius applied for presidency again, but this month from the ranks of Liberaali Edistyspuolue. In reality the parties in the coalition were committed only to give support to a common presidential candidate, which is what Red Jihad actually did in these elections: they supported Engram from IKP for president, who was also supported by Suomen Sosialistinen Puolue. The elections of that month were the most intense in the history of Finland. Okkius won his opponent Engram by only four votes, the total vote count being 205 to 201 votes.

During Okkius' term ambassadors were re-introduced, and weekly reports from them were to be published in the government newspaper. As new offices, Okkius set up the Ministry of Education and Culture, which was tasked to create and upkeep a tutorial for new players in the forums and to answer to questions which trouble new players trying to find their spot in the community. Okkius also founded the Ministry of Immigration to create a recruiting message as neutral as possible to recruit new players to Finland. During Okkius' term Finland's first Q5 hospital was finished and placed in Aland.

The reforms in Okkius' term did not end here - by congress initiative the military was reformed, which led to creation of a new branch to the armed forces. Nicknamed 'Hätäisen Toiminnan Joukot' (Hasty Deployment Force), the new unit was a place for common people to participate in military operations and learn basic fighting tactics. After a rough start and training sessions, HTJ began participating in real global conflicts, offering experiences to newly recruited soldiers from the ranks of ordinary people. The congress also decided on dividing congressmen into ministries as apprentices based on their own wishes to learn the function of ministers and to help in handling small routine tasks. This procedure was meant to raise activity among congressmen, but it did not continue in the next month.

It was seen that during the ANVIL'09 military exercise weapons were quickly sold out from the market, and that their price rose to intolerable levels when the battles were on. This caused the congress to agree on setting up a national weapons company for the military in order to create a weapons stock in case of Finland being attacked.

World in fire - Finland expanding her borders?

Discussion about invading Estonia as soon as it'd be added to the game continued during Okkius' term. The motive for conquering Estonia was to get the 1,000 G new countries get as a starting fee to the Finns, or to gain a high RM region for Finland. Besides normal people, the congress also debated the issue, and pros and cons of the plan were carefully weighed. For example, it was pondered would an attack cause Estonia to join PEACE. After Estonia was added, it was finally decided that instead of attacking, gaining good and friendly relations with Estonians would be a better approach.

The war between Romania and Indonesia at the time kept the government busy. Borders of the countries around the world moved daily: at one point Indonesia even bordered Finland. Besides the two countries, also other countries took advantage of the chaos and attacked almost randomly against each other. The war was called the Second World War, and in this war Finland proved its loyalty time after another by helping their allies the best they could. With his closest ministers, Okkius stayed awake several nights, discussing war plans with their allies, almost burning himself out.

The night before April '09 elections, Finland and Norway agreed on Finland taking possession of three Norwegian regions from Norway: Nord-Norge, Leningrad-Oblast and Moscow Region. The aim was to protect Norway from the political take over it had suffered, and just minutes before the election day was over, the regions were swapped to Finland. Furious of this, Norway's goon president instantly attacked Moscow which Finland had just taken, but after an intense battle, Finland managed to keep the region under her custody. Also an attack on Nord-Norge was dispelled, and later the region was transferred to Swedish possession.

Domestic Trouble

April '09 elections ended with Simppa from Sininen Puolue winning the race against Gabriel Lavanche with 158-153 votes. His government faced massive negative spin since the start of the term. Many of his ministers resigned on the first week, tired of the political landscape in Finland and left for greener pastures in other countries. Many of those who left came back later though to help Finland survive the loss of experienced politicians.

The consequences of occupying Russian regions came evident on April, as a foreigner applied for party president in Suomen Sosialistinen Puolue (Finnish Socialistic Party). After the elections were over, the hype over a foreign candidate proved to be false, but the incident and what was done to prevent a PTO proved that despite internal conflicts, Finns were able to overcome their hatred and unite against an outside threat.

The threat of a hostile PTO gave way for a discussion to create a Scandinavian Union - an idea to merge Finland, Sweden and Norway under a common flag. The matter was discussed and debated to great lengths in Finnish forums. Those who opposed the idea based their arguments on nationalism - according to them Finland would no longer be Finland, if it was annexed to Sweden. Sweden was considered to be the best host country because of its stable currency. The language issue trouble people too - would the Swedes be willing to use English as the administrative language, or would they push Swedish articles into top rated just because? In reality at that time the amount of actives was roughly the same in Finland, Sweden and Norway, so all three countries would have had the same chances to get involved in politics and media.

Those who argued for the union, based their arguments on political stability: if three countries were to be united under one flag, the probability of a successful, hostile PTO would lower significantly. Norway had already experienced a PTO, and Finland had experienced the widespread panic caused by a foreign candidate in elections. The down side of the union was thought to be regional defense: if Finland's or Norway's original regions were to be attacked, Swedish alliances would not be triggered. Resistance wars started by enemy soldiers were also considered to be a problem. Finland prepared for a PTO in April congress elections by instating expletive candidates in otherwise empty regions.

To further complicate issues, logs leaked from a meeting of Isänmaallinen Kansanpuolue (Patriotic People's Party) showed that the party leadership had sworn to defend their ideal of resisting the Scandinavian Union by asking for help from PEACE to attain power. The matter caused a massive stir amongst the populace, and Scandinavian Union was buried.

The last drop in the ocean during April's incidents was the sudden disappearance of the President himself. To replace him for the rest of the month, Gabriel Lavanche was chosen as Vice President. He was seen as the best choice, because despite he had left Finland early in the month, he was still an active participant in Finnish politics.

Finland Under Goon Threat

Because of a threat of a political take over, May 2009 presidential elections were held in forums as a precaution. Supported by Sininen Puolue, Pippelipojat and Liberaali Edistyspuolue, Engram defeated the opposing Suomen Sosialistinen Puolue candidate Jumala by votes 245-51.

After Sweden attacked Germany because of the hatred and accusations running wild between the two countries, Finland took the stance of supporting Sweden's actions, just like many other ATLANTIS countries did. In May, Finland took part in USA-Ireland war games, and arranged their own war games with Sweden and Norway, in which Nord-Norge was returned to Norway via Finland. Finland still however held Moscow and Leningrad Oblast in her possession.

The war between Romania and Indonesia reached its climax, when it was found out that some PEACE member countries exploited ”a feature” in the game which allowed the infinite duplication of money and items. Last time this had happened in January, and because of this the leadership of ATLANTIS declared it will not continue to defend non-original Romanian regions. The military alliance to which Finland belonged to began to crack, and even in Finland there was discussion about what ATLANTIS has to offer. Finland had been a faithful member of ATLANTIS since it joined, and Finns had many times said that if ATLANTIS falls, Finland goes down with it. Finally ATLANTIS was disbanded on 21st of May 2009, though Finland and the countries that made up ATLANTIS continued to exist.

Congress elections of May caused wide-spread panic in Finnish population, as it looked like Finland faced a real goon threat this time - a Hungarian goon managed to take over Suomen Sosialistinen Puolue on party president elections, and he renamed the party to Finno-Ugric Party. SSP's members joined Red Jihad until they got their party back. The PTO party gained over 100 members on election day eve, which made Finns shiver, but a PTO attempt by ppVictor Petrescu[[ on Indonesia caused PEACE to send their voters there instead of Finland. Apparently this was the reason that made Hungarians abandon Finland, or then their aim was simply to intimidate Finland, to demonstrate that they did not approve Finnish actions, nor they liked that Finland still occupied Russian regions. In any case, only one hostile foreign candidate was elected to congress.

As the nation prepared for new presidential elections, something unexpected happened. Ganjawarrior, a Finnish congressman proposed an impeach just before elections. Normally this wouldn't have mattered, but now that there was a considerable risk of PTO, and the impeachment vote can be started only every seven days, this caused a chance for possible goon president to stay in office for four days. Disciplinary action was taken against Ganjawarrior and Finland waited for the election day with fearful eyes.

Finland expands into Latvia

Despite the initial goon threat in June 2009, Jorma Ollila of Liberaali Edistyspuolue turned out to be the only running presidential candidate. The Hungarian candidate from Finno-Ugric Party with his one hundred supporters was still in the country, but he withdrew his candidacy just half an hour before elections. This, of course had its reason.

Something historical was about to happen, and citizens were filled with excitement. Finland had been threatened constantly with political take over because Finland held Leningrad Oblast and Moscow in her possession. Finland also had gained a high grain region by occupying Moscow, but no one dared to set up companies there as it was clear that the region would some day be returned to Russia. To compensate the loss of the region, an alternate plan to gain a high RM region was devised. A plan to invade Latvia via Moscow had been drafted already during Engram's term, but Jorma Ollila got the honor of executing it.

The plan hit two birds with one stone - Finland had made a secret agreement in negotiations with PEACE, according to which Finland would declare war to Latvia, advance via Latgale to Zemgale, return Russian regions to Russia and the PEACE presidential candidate in Finland would withdraw. After debating the plan the congress approved it, and war preparations were made. Yet again Finland was betrayed by one of their own however, as Democrat (a.k.a Jumala), a left-wing spokesman leaked the war plan presented to congress in media. Latvians became mad when they heard about it, and signed alliances with Estonia and some other countries like China and the UK. Democrat was punished for treason, but the plan was executed regardless of the leak.

According to plan, Leningrad Oblast was returned to Russia, and on 8th of June the war declaration to Latvia passed. The attack on Latgale began on the same day. Latvians tried to interfere by starting a RW in Moscow, and Finland had to concentrate all their forces to win the fight for Latgale. Moscow was however lost, even though PEACE committed not to fight there as stated in the contract (which they did). On 10th of June, Finland attacked Zemgale, and conquered it with the help of her allies.

All in all, the campaign in Latvia cost much, but the operation was seen as a success. A Q5 hospital was placed in Zemgale, and citizens were given free moving tickets to settle in Zemgale. Entrepreneurs were also encouraged to set up companies there.

The Latvian reaction

The attack caused Latvians to release a shitstorm on Finns. Latvians accused Finns of being imperialistic pig-dogs and cursed Finnish grandparents and their children to hell. The Finnish government tried to negotiate and use reason in vain, and constant trolling ensued in the media.

A massive Latvian baby boom began in July. It was quickly noted in Finland, but it was mostly considered systematical multi-accounting based on discussions read on Latvian forums. Latvians demanded Latgale to be returned immediately, saying that Finland promised to return the region after it had reached Zemgale. Finns did not however see any reason to return the region because Latvians had refused to negotiate with Finns in any manner.

The war in Latvia made Jorma Ollila's presidential term one of the most memorable ones in Finnish history, and with it Finland finally gained a high RM region it had sought for so long. During June the administrative system in Finland was also improved - a committee was founded inside the congress to handle sensitive issues. The committee consisted of one representative from each of the top five parties, all elected by the parties themselves. Also a program to grant ministries apprentices was started. Recruiting new players into the game was made more systematical by assigning a work group to it.

The Jihad of July

Because Finland no longer had Russian regions in her possession, many believed the threat of a political take over to be over. However, the biggest threat of a PTO happened during July's elections, when the Finno-Ugric Party returned - this time as a whole new party just minutes before the day change and start of elections. This time, the threat was real.

Samotron, the presidential candidate of Finno-Ugric Party gained votes fast, and all the other Finnish presidential candidates except for one dropped out of the race to ensure a Finn would be elected. Erius from Red Jihad was the leading Finnish candidate in the morning, and by concentrating all votes to him, he won the foreign candidate Samotron with 358-279 votes. A staggering 728 people voted in the elections, which is more than ever before in the history of normal Finnish elections. This, and the vote count on both sides pointed out that foreign voters participated in the elections voting for both candidates.

Erius' government was heavily pressed by Latvians, and a threat of a Latvian political take over was considered real. To counter a possible PTO attempt, it was decided to return Latgale to Latvia via RW with Finnish funds because a treaty to return the region on Latvian terms with Latvians was rejected by their own congress. Latgale was never intended to be held under Finnish occupation, and in tactical terms one region would be easier to defend than two, plus Finland thought that returning the region would ease the tense relations with Latvia.

On 11th of July, Okkius Pyromanius began a RW in Latgale by a congress decision, and 24 hours later the region was transferred to Latvia. The treacherousness of Latvians and PEACE revealed itself soon however - on 12th of July, just before the day changed, Latvia attacked Zemgale with massive PEACE tanking effort. This was a prelude to the Third World War, even though it was not seen yet back then. Finland and her allies defended the region bravely. The national weapons company issued weapons for citizens, gold donations were gathered from population and foreign troops were called for help, but despite the effort, Finland finally lost the region. On 13th of July, Finland lost the high RM region it had held in her possession just over a month. Latvia proposed a peace treaty with Finland soon after, but it was rejected by Finland, partially because of the still existing PTO threat.

The loss of Zemgale caused discontent amongst population, and it did not help that the president had a one-week long holiday starting on the day the battle for Zemgale began. The vacation of Erius was told and planned beforehand, and during that time Okkius Pyromanius took charge as the Vice President.

As PEACE began its North American offensive and conquest of USA and Canada, Finland became also involved in the World War when Norway began blocking attacks against Russia. Russia retaliated by attacking Nord-Norge, and when Norway retreated the battle, Finland then attacked the Russian-owned Nord-Norge. Russia retreated the battle to gain offensive in North America, and Finland then returned the region to Norway. The same pattern was repeated soon after, but the other time Finland decided to keep Nord-Norge to stop the same attacks continuing over and over again.

During Erius' presidency the congress set up an office for Chancellor of Justice to supervise the actions of the government. After a slightly confusing voting process, Gabriel Lavanche was elected as the first Chancellor of Justice. After the citizenship module was implemented in game, immigration policy was discussed and debated in the congress. Finland was finally safe from political take overs - her only foreign region belonged to an ally, and only citizens of Finland had the right to vote in elections. The economical situation in Finland was weak however, as the Latvian campaign and attacks on Nord-Norge had diminished country treasury.

Finland recovers

The atmosphere in Finland had calmed down for August presidential elections. Gabriel Lavanche, a long-time politician was finally elected as president. His government began work immediately on the first day ”to raise Finland from the dwell it had fallen into”. The new government was criticized at first for its big size, but it proved its efficiency soon by holding a meeting with party presidents about a military reform, by which soldiers would be divided into units based on party membership. Also a new and mysterious intelligence service was founded, and culture was enriched by the new office of Minister of Culture and Education.

Economy was a focal point during Lavanche's term, and savings were made in many ways. Government budgets were made with care, and the Minister of Finance got a right to use monetary market for gaining profit. It was intended to create long term savings by investing gold into weapons and iron companies for NTJ, in which soldiers would produce raw materials and weapons for themselves. Even though the amount of gold used to create the companies was big, it would pay itself back soon by cutting the defense budget that had grown over the months.

In August Finnish military shined with its co-ordination and prowess when NTJ and HTJ fought for Canadian independence. The Finnish army decimated British troops trying defend Canadian regions, and Finland marched victoriously over Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Alberta, returning Canada on the map after it had been wiped out days ago.

The war was also waged on the Finnish soil when Russia tried to conquer Nord-Norge in order to advance further into Scandinavia. Finland defeated Russia once again however with her organizational skills, and after a victorious defensive battle, the region was transferred to Sweden's protection. What was notable about this one fight for Nord-Norge was that before the battle began, the enemy had crashed Finnish forums and most of the communications systems, and half of the government was on vacation when the attack began.

Continuate of wars

From September till present day, Finland experienced domestic conflicts, an economic rise, military reforms, wars (most notably the Scandinavian war), joining of EDEN and the ending of World War III.

Estonian rule and independence

Finland was conquered by Estonia in Estonia-Finland War.
