Ireland (pronounced [ˈaɪɾlənd]; Irish: Éire [ˈeːɾʲə]; Ulster Scots: Airlann) is an island country located in the northwest of Europe. Ireland's geographic location has often been exploited to create a strong defensive position. Bordering only UK, Canada, and USA, Ireland's six regions are strategically insulated. This has allowed the country to maintained a strong community with diverse views and politics. Ireland has healthy elections and is active economically, militarily, and in the media. Ireland is a founding member of Aurora.
Media
The vast majority of Irish media is written in english. Because of the small population of the country, it is more difficult to get a Media Mogul achievement as authors will need to find subscribers from outside of Ireland to reach one thousand. Ireland's media is very active for a country of its size, usually providing enough well written news and articles to stimulate the average reader.
