Lika and Gorski Kotar (Hrvatski:Lika i Gorski Kotar) is mountain region of Croatia. The capital city of this region is Karlovac.
Lika is a region whose name, derived from the Celtic word "Life" (meaning "beautiful country") is well deserved.
Lika is a region of dense forests, soft, flowing grazing meadows, crystal clear waters, preserved buildings of original architecture, and food prepared from the fruits of the ecologically unspoiled land.
Karlovac is a city at the end of the region Lika and Gorski Kotar. Located at the crossroads of important road and rail routes from capital of Croatia, Zagreb.
