Lukasz Makowski (aka Makowski; aka Mak) was a citizen of USA, born in Springfield, Illinois.
He was an Emeritus Executive Board Member of the United States Workers Party.
He is the former Party president of United States Workers Party, Chief of Staff of the United States Workers Party, Foreign Relations Director of USWP, Business Affairs Director of USWP, Mayor of Madison, the USA Secretary of State under President Roby Petric, the Under Secretary of State of USA under president Justinious McWalburgson III, the Chief of staff of USA under Benn Dover and a three term Congressman from Wisconsin.
On December 13th, 2008 Makowski was named the 33rd, in an article presenting 50 Most Important eAmericans.
After his tenure as the Under Secretary of State, Makowski took a long leave of absence from eRepublik due to RL, and is now currently back as of September of 2010.
Public Career
United States Workers Party Political Involvement
Foreign Affairs Director
He joined the USWP in early August 2008. He became active and developed relationships with party leadership in a short time. On August 22nd, 2008, he was appointed the Foreign Affairs Director of USWP. With the appointment to the foreign office, he was also promoted to party leadership by Roby Petric.
Makowski had a large part in creating the Executive Board of the USWP and is a member of it. Also, he served briefly as USWP’s temporary Congressional Whip during this time.

During that time he edited and co-wrote the USWP Constitution, which was drafted by ProggyPop, to create a body of law that the USWP would be able to follow. He also made significant changes in the USWP forums, creating more departments and cutting some which were unnecessary.

Under his time as party president, the USWP attained the status of the largest party in the world with over 850 members, while still having an open wellness program for all eRepublik players.
After serving as party president for over a month, Makowski decided not to seek reelection for the month of December. While still active in the party in other capacities, Makowski began to concentrate on private business ventures, as well as intergovernmental and international public-private projects.
Makowski was replaced by Rocco Baldelli as party president on December 16, after winning a seven way election with 56.51% and 204 votes, against the other major candidate GoBucks who attained 32.41% and 117 votes.
Emeritus Executive Board Member of the United States Workers Party
After his tenure as USWP Party President, Makowski retained his seat as an Executive Board Member of the USWP via a vote by the Executive Board to indoctrinate him as an Emeritus member. He has been serving in this capacity in the USWP since than (December 2008).

During his mandate, through constituent suggestions, the city was able to allocate funds to a purchase a Q1 hospital for the city with the cooperation with the USWP and than current US President Roby Petric. Makowski was able to secure 60% of the funding for the project[1].

Makowski was elected a Congress member representing Wisconsin for the 10th session on 1 October 2008, after the mayor position was removed and V1 took effect. He was re-elected on 26 October 2008, for the 11th session and continued to serve the entire duration until 25 November, when he was defeated by denzins leading up to the 12th term.
Makowski regained the congressional seat on January 25th, 2009, from Wisconsin for the 14th term. He then was re-elected to the 17th Congress, serving a term from April 26th, 2009 to May 25th, 2009. Unfortunately, in the middle of his term in the 17th Congress, he was forced to resign due to RL issues. He did not return since then.
