The party was founded in May 2008 by pipec as Far-Right party. It was accused by multy-accounting almost immediately, because the members number grew up to 100 in day - when the whole of Hungary's population was barely above 500.
The MHP is the only one in the Hungarian political palette, that never changed its name. Because it was always the biggest party - with a quite passive membership - the party was almost always member of coalition governments, but rarely giving presidents directly.
The next big multi-accounts scandal in the party came when bekesjarokelo was banned, while party president, and with him, the party lost hundreds of members. Then current party president, Lisztes, was trying to make the party reputation good again, by launching anti-multi-account policy.
Party with current ID 1081, disappeared in 2010 due to the erasing of Hungary[?]. Sometime in December 2010 (est), the ID was reborn, this time with ID 3399 and center-right orientation[?].
In 2014 MHP was often 6th by its size so some of its members went to the top 5 parties to become Congressman.
