Master Hofkens was a citizen of UK.
He served as Minister of Trade and was last Minister of Work of the United Kingdom. He has has lived his whole Life in the United Kingdom. Started his first clicks in Flanders 20 December 2008, at that moment owned by the United Kingdom and then moved on to Northern Ireland and eventually London for the fortress region. He was a member of the UKRP and has been in Congress for 23 terms.
The two click period
Master Hofkens was only a member for over a week of the United Kingdom and French was attacking his home region of Flanders. At that moment he was working for an Oil company inside the United Kingdom and he liked his job. So he asked a moving ticket to move to the United Kingdom in the hope to return to Flanders soon. But the merger between Belgium and the United Kingdom was undone, Flanders was a French region and later the region of Belgium. Master Hofkens is a real life Belgian but he thought Belgium was too little for his plans. In this period (March 2009) he was dreaming of becoming a company owner. His whole life he was digging oil and he was saving money to buy his own oil company. But because of missing a hard worker medal he did not have enough gold to do this.
At this moment he joined the UK forums in the hope to find some advice on how to become rich. At first he didn’t liked the forums and he soon disappeared again, returning to only two clicking. After another two months (May 2009) he has joined the Royal Guard, the army of the United Kingdom, and he was again on the forums, reading most of the time.
The first dream
After saving around 
120 GOLD he was ready to buy his own Q3 grain company. But he has had another dream. To become Congress member. In the beginning of his life he joined the UKRP because they had the current country president. So he asked them to run for congress in his home region, Northern Ireland. The UKRP members Certacio and Anaxima were very friendly to this newcomer and helped him writing a manifesto. It was because of this he start liking the UKRP. He lost the elections but he started to become more active on the political front. He was witness of the SaraDroz problem, and the theft of the treasure. At that moment he found the richness of the community behind this game. To get more involved he joined the Minister of Work as an apprentice. He was hoping to get some experience in running a company before buying his own Grain company.
Mr Woldy was the Minister of Work at this time and he helped Master Hofkens a lot. This friendly person asked him to message every worker and fire them when needed in the Royal Grain company for low skill players. After his experience in the ministry Master Hofkens went back into two clicking. He lost interest in this game after losing a lot of money with his company. His dream of becoming rich was over, his dream of becoming a political mastermind was over and he quit the forums. In August he was thinking of moving to Belgium but he decided to stay in the UK.
The silent months
While in the United Kingdom he just worked as a land skill worker, in this time becoming one of the best skilled land workers in this country. Because of the training wars he went into seven clicking and moved to London, where they have a Q5 hospital. In the elections he noticed Mr Woldy as Country President candidate and he voted always for his older master. But he wasn’t aware that Mr Woldy was becoming one of the best country presidents this country will ever have. In wasn’t until December of 2009 he become active again. The reason was very simple, Poland was attacking whole Europe and this was leading to a British invasion of Belgium. A year after joining Flanders and Brussels where again a part of the United Kingdom. He moved to Flanders and started messaging every citizen of Belgium to move to London. When the congress elections where coming close he decided to run as a congress member for the Flanders Region in the hope to represent the Belgian people in the United Kingdom. He started a big campaign, sending out messages in three language, contact a lot of his old friends and finally on Christmas day 2009 he got enough votes to get elected for the first time in Congress.
The crazy Belgian
Because of his position as member of parliament he became again active on the forums. The Flemish region was quickly lost in the war against Poland, it was the only time Master Hofkens fought with Q5 weapons and spent gold but he couldn’t save his home region. He decided to join the army again, working under Mr Woldy on the Congress ship. He worked every day digging Oil for his country but he never received weapons. He used his own money to fight but when the invasion of the United Kingdom started he was fighting his own political war.
The Flemish region was under Polish control, soon after this the Americans launched a political takeover of Belgium. As a member of the British congress he was asking his country to attack Belgium again and to recreate the old union of Belgium and the United Kingdom. But the new elected president of the United Kingdom, dishmcds, has had no time for this, the United Kingdom was reduced to only three regions. Because he was that active in the House of Commons, fighting to save Belgium, the UKRP offered him a place in the North East of England. A region where nobody was living because everyone has moved to London. He tried hard but in the end he didn’t got elected. Belgium was lost to the Americans and the United Kingdom was reduced to only London. Master Hofkens was no longer in the House of Commons.
Instead of giving up he decided to stay active on the forums. With the next country president elections he applied for the Minister of Work position. He was not chosen but he could start again as an apprentice. He worked hard and after one month he could run again for a congress seat. The UKRP asked him to run in the North West of England. After a quick search on the Internet he found out that Manchester United, his favorite football club, was situated in that region. After the lost of Flanders he has founded a new home region. And he got elected again in Congress.
The next month he again joined the Minister of Work but he quit the navy. In the four months working for the navy he only got three weapons. And they closed the land working companies in the navy. He bought himself a grain company and start working for his own in an organization called Hofman en Co. And on 25 march he got again elected in Congress and he was again working as an apprentice in the Ministry of Work. Everything went nicely. On the 25 of may he was elected once more into Congress.
The break out
Again in Congress. Normally Master Hofkens was an active member of Congress but not the most active. But for some reasons he was very active in those months. The main reason was Belgium, the second reason was economy. Because of his business experience, he owned a Q3 food company those days, and the intense debates about taxes and the new changed the admins where planning Master Hofkens was very active that month. He worked inside the Minister of Work but he was most of the time inside House Of Commons giving advice about what to do. He was that active that by the end of the term he was elected second best congress member of that month. On the 25 of June things where changing in the United Kingdom. Just before the elections could start the Netherlands attacked the United Kingdom. Because of this Master Hofkens couldn’t run for his Congress seat in the North West.
He was angry about all of this. After working that hard in the Minister of Work and Profit, after working in congress, after fighting against every enemy of the United Kingdom he was no longer part of the House of Commons because of an action of the current country president. A men who he has voted for, a long time friend, Mr Woldy. He could do two things, leave the game or try something completely different. He applied again for the post of Minister of Work. An important ministry because the game rules were about to change. In the mother of all election where Iain Keers (the TUP mastermind) was running against GLaDOS (UKRP long term country president) Master Hofkens joined sides with Keers. Because he thought the last one has had a better economical plan. He was right. Iain Keers said Master Hofkens could be his Minister of Work. Nobody would regret that choice.
The Minister of Work
On his first day Master Hofkens got control over 15 United Kingdom companies. At his last day he was running over 20 companies. On his own. This was needed because of the change in the economical module almost nobody was offering jobs to low skills players. At one moment the Department for Work was employing over 250 low skills players. He was producing tones of food and grain to keep the markets alive. In this time he was getting in touch with a new best friend, the minister of Finance Thatcher. Almost every day Master Hofkens needed more GBP to keep the companies alive. In the end he spent more than 10.000GBP to keep the economy alive, and indeed it has worked. One day before the end of Keers term he could close down every single low skill company. The job market was working again and the economy was alive and kicking.
But Master Hofkens did more than just running low skill companies. At that moment the army was a mess in terms of organization. The president decided that someone else needed to run the Iron companies of the army. Master Hofkens was given the task to run 8 iron companies to supply the United Kingdom with cheap Iron. Because of the high costs he needed to do this with a lot of attention. Never employ more than ten workers, only workers with high wellness and so one. In the end he could supply the United Kingdom with so much Iron they could stockpile over 30.000 units of Iron at a cost of around 5.000 Rub.
But after this he had a new challenge. Because of a change in the rules the United Kingdom would need a lot of hospitals. He needed to create one Q5 hospital every day. The problem was the United Kingdom didn’t have any skilled workers. He messaged a lot of people and in the end he founded 20 people to work in this company. To supply them he opened stone companies in French territory.
Because of all his hard work Iain Keers could create a stronger United Kingdom, where he conquered huge parts of Norway and restore the economy. On his last day as Minister of Work the country president was really impressed of his work. But Master Hofkens was happy to save this great country. After this he was again elected in congress and he resigned his position as MoW. He reopened his own companies and was thinking about his retirement.
Becoming popular and old
After a quiet month of Augustus things were getting bad again. War was brought again to the United Kingdom and Master Hofkens was called on to become again the Minister of Work. But things didn’t work out again. Because of the working job market and a not working army he could do anything useful this term. On the 5 of October he said to the CP to close down the Ministry of Work because it was no longer needed. The navy Iron companies where returned to the navy, the stone companies where used to create profits and the old Royal companies for low skill workers where officially closed down for good. The irony, his last act as Minister was to sell all the food inside Royal Food and all the grain inside Royal Grain, the same companies he did manage when he was just an apprentice a long long time ago.
Because of the closing down of the Minister of Work Master Hofkens was no longer active inside the Cabinet, but he was still a member of Congress. The most of his attention was for the UKRP. He was helping his party whenever he could and was slowly becoming one of the elder members of his party and a well know face inside the United Kingdom.
The future?
In January he was chosen to become the Minister of Trade, this ministry houses a lot of the old Minister of Work companies and offers advice to company owners. Because of a lot of changes the admins, again, have introduced in this game it was only a matter of time before Master Hofkens would again be needed to save the markets.
