The National Health Service, or NHS for short, is an organisation and chain of organisations in the United Kingdom tasked with improving the general well being of the UK's citizens. It is operated under the Ministry of Health, a part of the British government, and the Director of the NHS is the Minister for Health. The NHS was first established in January 2008 by Prime Minister Kaleb to help the citizens of the UK to increase their wellness levels and thus boost production and damage made in wars. This was done through Mayors of each regions gifting citizens with wellness up to 95%. After the end of the beta, which took with it the local elections and mayors who had previously been performing the task of improving the wellness of their citizens, Prime Minister Dishmcds proposed replacing the mayors with regional clinics and that gifting should be up to 90 wellness due to the different formula. It has since been through two reforms and changes in procedure since that time, most notably after the presidency of Final Destiny when, during his absence, a boom in the UK's population caused the cost of the NHS to increase significantly which is said to have caused a shut down in government spending. The first reform came from Prime Minister JerryGFL who proposed that gifting should be rationed to ten wellness a week. This was superseded by the Wellness Fast program, proposed by current Prime Minister Malta_1990, which is further explained below.

Current Operation

The NHS currently provides 3 tiers of service for UK citizens;

Intensive Care

The Intensive Care program is only for citizens who have very low wellness, below 45, or are under level 5. Citizens on the intensive care program are eligible to receive a free boost of 10 wellness from their clinic per week, usually delivered in the form of five Q2 Gifts. If the director of the citizen's clinic suspects that the citizen is not attempting to correctly manage their wellness and is entirely relying on the gifts instead of buying food, it is within the power of the director to withhold further treatment.

Wellness Fast

The Wellness Fast program is for citizens who are above level 5 and above 45 wellness but below 90 wellness, implemented to be far more cost effective than the normal scheme of weekly gifting, the citizen is educated in the ways of fighting and using a hospital and is issued two moving tickets and sent to region with a Q5 Hospital of an allied nation that is at war. There they fight once, use the hospital and so gain 40 wellness and can use the second ticket to return home. Citizens on the wellness fast program are given tickets by their regional clinic director once per month. Citizens that use the program as a free way to leave the UK are made ineligible for any NHS treatment ever again should they return.

Home Care

The Home Care program is for any citizen of any level and any wellness below 90 that is unable to leave the country for reasons such as holding a political office, as they would have to resign their office in order to participate in Wellness Fast. These rare citizens are given the same free wellness boost as citizens on the Intensive Care program, a free bost of 10 wellness per week, usually in the form of five Q2 gifts.

To receive the benefits of these care programs a citizen must send a friendship request and confirmation message to their local NHS clinic.

Clinics & Directors

The NHS serves the population of the UK through regional clinics, one for each region of the UK giving a total of 12, each clinic is ran by it's own director, appointed by the Minister for Health and is responsible for implementing NHS procedure and Health policy in that region.
