Osmany Ramon was born on March 27th, 2009 in the New York region of the United States of America.
He has been working exclusively in the raw materials industry since that time, primarily in Wood and Oil.
On April 15, 2009, Osmany enlisted in the United States National Guard and moved to New Jersey for decent health care. While in the National Guard, Osmany fought in a few wars alongside his fellow soldiers in the 1st Division, 8th Platoon. On May 12th, 2009, Osmany successfully completed National Guard Basic Training.
As soon as Osmany was able, he joined the Socialist Freedom Party and became active in working to expand membership in that party. He created the SFP Young Socialists in order to recruit young citizens who were unable to officially join the party but wanted to become active in the American Socialist Movement. Osmany served as the first Director of the Young Socialists
In May 2009, Osmany Ramon ran unopposed for Party president of the Socialist Freedom Party on a platform of taking the party from its "juvenile phase" of being a single-issue party and turning it into a major player in American politics. Throughout his first term, Osmany re-organized the Socialist Freedom Party by creating a steering committee that would help run the party. He also founded the Socialist Freedom Org so that the SFP could have an official newspaper, Socialist Freedom Press and receive donations. Over the course of Ramon's first term, the party increased in size from 54 members to 80 members and the SFP saw a major increase in active members in its forums.

SFP Commune
One of the largest contributions that Osmany Ramon made to the Socialist Freedom Party during his first term was the organizing of the SFP Commune. Having learned from the Russian and Turkish models for communes, Osmany organized the first American commune with fellow members of the SFP. In the same spirit, Osmany Ramon created the 'Radical Laboratories' in the Socialist Freedom Party forums as a place for radicals to experiment and theorize with other ideas to implement in the New World.
The SFP Commune was the first commune of its kind in the United States. The commune began on May 25, 2009 when members of the Socialist Freedom Party pooled gold to purchase SFP Communal Grain. Structure
During the Ramonist era, starting in 2009 and ending in early 2011, the Commune went through many changes to keep up with the changing eRepublik economy module, but the idea remained the same.
Commune members would work daily in the commune for minimum wage. They would be "paid" in food for their labor. Should a member of the Commune need help with wellness or weapons to fight the Commune would provide for the members out of its storage or monetary reserves. As members of the commune realized that they did not need much to survive in eRepublik, the Commune did not often receive requests for more commodities to be distributed. In this way the commune amassed large amounts of Gold and USD.
Politics
In June 2009, Osmany ran for re-election as Party president of the Socialist Freedom Party. This time Ramon faced 3 other candidates but was able to win re-election with 92.31% of the vote. In July 2009 he ran unopposed. The Socialist Freedom Party gained steady membership in these two months to a peak under Ramon's presidency of 125 members. Efforts were made to form a broader political coalition called the United Left with the Democratic Party and Green Party and others, but this had to be put aside with the outbreak of World War 3.
In August he decided against running for a fourth term, and endorsed Mark Valshannar, who later went on the win the election. Mark appointed Ramon to the newly created SFP Whip Position. 3 Days into the new position, Party president Valshannar commissioned the creation of the SFP Bear Cavalry, a party based paramilitary unit, for the purpose of fighting in resistance wars against the PEACE GC nations that had almost completely overrun the United States of America. Osmany Ramon was made into the Quartermaster of the Bear Cavalry and oversaw the conversion of the SFP Commune and the production of arms and supplies for the unit.
The Bear Cavalry spent a few weeks recruiting and fighting in the USA. On August 29th, Osmany Ramon mobilized with the Bear Cavalry to Moscow and Central Russia to gear up for fighting in resistance wars.
Osmany ran for Congress for the first time in March 26th under the United States Workers Party banner in Vermont and won his election against candidates Chadwick0585, Zoli and blockers Hank James and fuzzymisbegot. Senator Ramon serves on the Government Oversight Subcommittee in Congress.
