propose peace button which can be found under the menu 'declare war' in the president's Country Administration panel

A Peace treaty is a law that is used to end a war. Upon proposing a peace treaty, the president of proposing country is able to demand a certain sum of gold from the other country, however this is not a necessity.

This law can also be used to close war caused by activated alliance.

  • Country A has an alliance with country B. Country C attacks an original region of country A, and country B will become an ally of country A in the war against country C. If country B and country C signs a peace treaty, country B will no longer be an ally of country A in that war.

If country is at direct war with another country and in war through alliance, upon signing peace only war through alliance will be closed.

  • Country A is in war with country B. Country A is an ally of country C in war between B and C. When A and B siges a peace treaty, it won't close war A vs B. It only removes country A from country C's allies in war between B and C .

Once the proposal has passed both congresses the war will end and if there's ongoing battles, defender will be declared as winner of the battle.

You cannot sign a peace treaty with your Natural Enemy: both countries must first unset Natural Enemy before they can sign a peace treaty. Once the Natural Enemy is set, it cannot be changed for 7 days.
