Size

There is a full version that's almost 4000 by 2000 pixels in size, but I'm using this smaller version for my convenience in making the imagemaps. For the portal, this is fine. - –Dr. AgentChieftain ^“PPP!” _{B / C / D / F / P / S} 22:12, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

I know, and their positions aren't accurate at all. The full map would not be suitable for the portal, either.

My idea for solving this was having an atlas with different levels. For example, to get to the page for Sardinia, you would go from Atlas to Atlas/Europe to Atlas/Italy and then click on Sardinia. I'd actually make something like this right now, but it would take a few days to set up, and I want to focus on the completion of this portal and the new citizen template, as well as the restructuring of the Dioism articles.

Also, I think this might end up being obsolete very soon, since the Wigs noted in an article that the map was the most requested feature of all, so they might have their own version in production. - –Dr. AgentChieftain ^“PPP!” _{B / C / D / F / P / S} 22:47, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Updating map

I don't like the way in that map where every country has current regions. Those change often so it would be better to do a map where countries have only original regions. It would be easier to keep updated. I made alliance map with every country has its current regions (it can be found here: http://i47.tinypic.com/2r76f6p.png). I didn't uploaded it to wiki yet because I want to hear others opinions. It can be resized to 800px wide. My opinion is , you should resize it , since the code is made on an 800px graphic, the one that when pointed and clicked on a region/country , links to the eRepublik page of that country.

I doubt that will work on another size smoothly. I searched also someone who can make the graphic, but found no one. There was a discussion somewhere around, you can check it ou! P.S. It's location can be found here

Neutral on the idea at this point... although an alliance map with all the regions in it is more difficult to maintain; it has the advantage of being more accurate and more ego driven. :D --Belea2008 07:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

In reply to what Belea said - there is a counter argument to that. Given that half of the regions in the new world pertain specifically to Europe (have a look at any of the Presidents pages and see for yourself just how many of the countries are European) - these new regions should not change too much in terms of size. Its hardly even noticable that you conquered Bosnia and Herzegovina (I picked a random country that I know is small in real life. -- Timeoin|Say G'Day 15:39, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
