Rafael Borges was a citizen of Portugal.
He was Portuguese right-wing monarchist politician.
He represented Lisboa, the Portuguese capital, in the national Congress for 7 times as a member of Partido Renovador Democrático where he was also elected party president. Later he joined the CDS-PP People's Party, a center-right party in Portugal. However, after the Turkish-Macedonian invasion of Bulgaria, he decided to move to Bulgaria to fight for its independence.
His newspaper is the Regnum Portucalensis (Latin for: Kingdom of Portugal).
