Scotty is a citizen of Australia, former citizen of Singapore.

Military
Scottty was a member of the Australian Commando Unit Koalas. From April 06, 2010, he has been the Military marshal of the ACUK.
He was the founder of the Singapore Armed Forces.
Politics
Scottty was a member of the Australian Communist Party. Scottty was elected to represent the Australian Senate on 10 occasions.
He was also President of Singapore, elected April 2011 after he served 3 consecutive terms as Minister of Security. After his presidential term, in May 2011 he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
