The Serbia-Russia War was a conflict between Serbia and Russia that began on April 18, 2011. It was one of the fronts of the much larger World War V.

The war was a result of Serbia attacking Russia as part of the many trans-global ONE vs. Terra clashes caused when ONE began to expand its territories throughout the New World. The war would represent the first time that ONE forces attempted to expand into Asia.

EDEN forces would also play a pivotal role in the conflict, though many of them would have previously been conquered in the weeks leading up to the war. China would be the most significant EDEN country to contribute, though Bulgarian resistance forces would also play an important role.

Background

The ONE alliance, of which Serbia was a charter member, had in the weeks prior to the war initiated a series of aggressive wars against many EDEN states in Eastern Europe. By the time of the initial assault against Russia, ONE and its aligned members had conquered EDEN member-states Croatia and Romania during the Fourth Balkan War, Italy during the Adriatic War, and Bulgaria during the ONE Invasion of Bulgaria. They had also conquered Germany during the Second Poland-Germany War, and successfully participated in the ONE invasion of France in the war against the Terra alliance.

As a result of the Second Poland-Germany War, Russia had attacked ONE-allied Poland from their Oblast in Kaliningrad. After a unsuccessful attempt to impact Poland's European expansion, the Oblast would be temporarily conquered by Poland, and thereafter eject Russia from direct action during the early stages of World War V. This would change once Serbia conquered Bulgarian regions that provided them with an avenue by which to attack Russia.

During the ONE Invasion of Bulgaria, Serbia had secured the Bulgarian territory of Burgas, from which it would then ultimately launch an attack against the Russian region of North Caucasus in a naval action across the Black Sea. From there Serbian forces would continue their push into the Russian mainland.

When Serbia proposed Russia as a Natural enemy, a resistance war was started in Burgas in order to close the border between Serbia and Russia, but it failed.

During the conflict Bulgaria would also begin the process of regaining its conquered regions during the Bulgarian Independence War and Croatia would also launch a series of resistance wars to oust Serbian occupation.

During this time Ukraine, though not openly hostile toward Russia, and an EDEN member, would take the invasion as an opportunity to liberate a number of territories that had previously been under sustained Russian occupation.[1]

As Serbia continued its assault, successfully conquering each region with little resistance, Russian President NWsFF was impeached and removed from office on April 21, 2011.

On April 25th, China would enter the war by attacking, and conquering, the Serbian-occupied territory of Western Siberia. Meanwhile, Russia would begin a series of moderately successful resistance wars in an attempt to liberate its western regions. At the same time, Serbia pushed further into the Russian homeland.

Eventually allied Terra/EDEN forces would fight back the Serbian encroachment, spoiling Serbia's drive east towards the Americas.

Aftermath

With Serbia's defeat to China in Far Eastern Russia and the successful Russia resistance wars to the west, none of the opposing belligerents had borders in common, bringing the war to a close on April 27, 2011.

Bulgaria had previously reconquered their territory of Burgas and liberated many of its regions which had been lost during the ONE invasion of Bulgaria. As a result, Serbian forces would once again be reduced the European Theater.

China would begin occupation of much of Russia's territories that had been lost to Serbia during the conflict. Though China and Russia were in different cooperating alliances, EDEN and Terra respectively, the fate of the liberated regions was questionable.
