The Sol Alliance

The SolDiers was the multinational armed forces of Sol, consisting of soldiers from all member nations.

The SolDiers was headed by the Sol Commander appointed by the Security Council.

History

It was a vision that Sol, upon her formation, a great defense arm would aid her in protecting the entire eRepublik humanity from the aggressive forces of the New World. But, it was only in November 26, 2009 when Garven Dreis, a Australian Representative to Sol, initiated to form a defensive command for the Sol community. He called to propose the creation of the SolDiers.

The main precipitating factor of the creation of the SolDiers was the Indonesia-Malaysia War that had started early in November. There was no definite, united and organize force that would aid the Sol when situations would appear and help the Malaysian forces.

Security Approval

The creation of the SolDiers is still in a pending resolution. Without the approval of the Security Council, the vision to have a united multinational force will not exist. Though Garven Dreis is considered the first Sol Commander of this organ, SolDier seems to be non-existing as it only exist as a proposal.

However, SolDiers was created in January 2010 as an semi-autonomous of Sol without being politically controlled by the Sol Security Coucil. By this, SolDiers was formally created despite without being passed in the Sol Security Council. However the Council has the power to provide funds for the military multiforce. Without the Council's approval for its funds, SolDiers functions will be hampered.

Leadership and Organizational Structure

The leaders in SolDiers were three men with previous and extensive experience. This is the list of known leaders:

SolDier Battallions

There were three Battalions, two of which are combat battalions. These were Sigma and Marauder, and each was lead by the Supreme Commander, Deputy Commander and Quartermaster General together. The non combat battalion was a support battalion, called Jackal Battalion.

Marauder

Marauder was the first of the two combat battalions. To get in, you need to be able to deploy, be able to make a hit of 200 or more with a Q5 weapon at 100 wellness and check orders once or twice a day on the SolDiers section of the Sol Forums. This Battalion is co-lead by the Supreme Commander and the Deputy Commander.

Sigma

Sigma Battalion was the second of the two combat battalions. To get in you need to be able to deploy, make a hit of 300 or higher with a Q5 gun at 100 wellness and check orders two to three times a day. Also, checking the SolDiers IRC is required for surgical strike operations. This battalion is also co-lead by the Supreme Commander and the Deputy Commander.

Jackal

Jackal Battalion was the third pillar of the SolDiers. It is the support battalion and runs the Quartermaster programs, recruitment, intelligence gathering and that you check the forums daily and remain in constant communication with the Battalion Commander. If you want to work in the intelligence field or quartermaster program, you must have a special reference from your President, Sol Adviser, Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs, your Vice President or equivalent. Landlocked personnel are also free to join Jackal Battalion, but will not participate in strikes if they aren't capable of it. The Quartermaster General commands this branch personally.
