History
Southeast of Mexico was conquered by the USA during World War V, as part of the failed Mexican invasion of the USA known as the Mexico-USA War. The region was formally annexed by the USA at the conclusion of the war by mutual agreement and monetary compensation was provided to Mexico.

History
The Southeast of Mexico was taken over by Portugal as the result of the Ibero-American War and then conquered by Spain. A Resistance war on January 19, 2009 was successful and Southeast of Mexico was returned to Mexico.
