Question. How is someone "endorsed several times"? By the same person, much less. Franco

@ Geo

All information listed in this is true. I'm removing the fictional template but only because I know and can vouch for it's authenticity. You removing the inappropriate content is fine, however, as that is your choice.

Vandalism

Someone with the Initials ML tried to vandalize the page. It is Fixed. Joeph Cole

I protected the page until User:Joeph Cole, User:Nathan Woods and User:Michael Lewis reach consensus. Waiting for explanation from them... --Belea2008 20:24, 22 November 2008 (EET)

Wait a second

Why are the edits of Michael Lewis being reverted, on his own biography nonetheless? He's obviously offended by the article.

Of course, nobody owns a page on the Wiki, not even the person who the article's about (See WP:OWN). However, if Koroush is allowed to prevent others from messing with his biography, then Michael Lewis should be given the same privilege. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! I moved all the content of the page to Michael Lewis/Archives. I'm still waiting for the point of view of the 3 contributors (preferably in this talk page). Have fun at editing! --Belea2008 21:31, 24 November 2008 (EET)

Ha ha ha,

No.

All this was, was preserving history before it becomes just another old meme. He takes himself so seriously, why can't we? All we are trying to do is archive what we think he thinks of what we think he is. (Yes, I mean what I just said.) Pure and simple satire. We didn't expect him to kill his own article. Maybe if we create a page "The Lore of ML" perhaps? Joeph Cole

I have no problem with the content of the article, but when someone is barred from editing his own biography, something is gravely wrong. If he doesn't wish for others to write his biography, you should at least respect that, since others are granted the same right. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! So we should create a second page then? Joeph Cole
Something along those lines. Take a look at the rules for fiction, and try to at least gain consensus if you're going against Michael Lewis' wishes. I'll be here if you have any questions. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 05:25, 26 November 2008 (EET)
Oh, another thing, there's nothing keeping you from adding humor to the page, as long as you keep it tasteful. I don't want to stop you from documenting your religion on here, as I'm doing the same. - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 05:28, 26 November 2008 (EET)
Reverts were for ML's edits which were, for the large part, idiotic. He knows it and still continued. Vandalism can occur by a user on their own page. The truthful edits made by members of the eUSA community, even if somewhat overzealous, were no where near vandalism and what ML showed. Therefore, by reverting truthful edits to whatever gibberish he posted, he vandalized his own page, thus getting the protect from Geo

Thinking to edit

Since Michael Lewis seems to be a big subject lately I thought I would ask before I edit. This article has been written in a joking manor (in a similar although not as open vein as George Lemnaru or alexis bonte). My edit would be modifying/removing any unneeded or bias lines:

eg. "after Mr Lewis beat Mr Media with a leg from a bar stool after a night of heavy drinking."

"In what most call a stunning act of grace," (used sarcastically)

""A man is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with," or so that saying goes. Mr Lewis may be the only exception to the rule, but that didn't stop him from putting together an impenetrable cabinet in preparation for his presidential run."

...and so on. Of course any joking lines that Lewis himself added and wants to stay he can always re-edit in. Pierric Bross 11:42, 2 January 2009 (EET)

Removed all of them. Feel free to remove also other ironic statements in this article. --Geo "Talk Pages" Belea 17:20, 11 January 2009 (EET)

Lewisism - section

Michael Lewis soon developed a religious following and when Michael Lewis dropped out of the presidential race Desertfalcon created a new religion in Lewis's honor. Called Lewisism, and with a secondary sect known as Michaelism Lewdaism, the religion stands on the basic tenets of fighting against organized communism and the country of China, as well as calling people idiots, threatening to report them, and implying that your father, brother, or other male relative who is a New York policeman will contact the FBI and hunt them down. Emerick is currently working on the biography of Michael Lewis, which will no doubt become the major work of Lewisism as the Book of Lewis, a collection writings penned by Lewisism's Head Priest Desertfalcon, has been canceled due to DF stepping down as Head Priest. It is unknown if the Book of Lewis will be passed on to another to continue its production.

It should be mentioned that Michael Lewis himself has appeared to decry a religion based around his person, claiming that Christianity and Jesus are to be worshiped, although there is no mention of either of these entities in the eRepublik wiki. His followers, however, testify that these statements are merely tests to determine the true followers, or possibly even coded messages to the church of Lewis revealing key tenets of the soon to be released Book of Lewis.

Removed, because User:Michael Lewis disagrees with a religion made after him. --Geo "Talk Pages" Belea 17:14, 11 January 2009 (EET)
