I notice that a few structural things seemed to have been edited since I was last here:
 +
1) Regions page only lists Wales (incorrect, eUK is wiped). It should list all original regions. If you are not going to be online enough to update the results of every single battle, then just leave on all the entire original region list so that people can find the region pages. Perhaps have a column listing the usual occupiers as the occupying countries are quite stable?
 +
2) Roleplay is back. While Woldy bring 'King' may have a place since enough players recognise that, I'm not sure that the King Stephen art gallery is at all relevant to eRepublik?

A Notice

All information on the wiki page must relate to Erepublik. There are no seas in Erepublik and references to RL borders, geography and governments should be minimal. Capital cities in the region table refer to the beta regions, so they are official, although I would like a more senior wiki editor to verify this.--Citizen596922.jpg malta_1990 Icon-Malta.png Icon-UK.png 18:47, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Commendation on the swiftness of your reaction, but although I have no problem with the exclusion of the concept of an eAtlantic Ocean there are concerns over pretty much all else, so let me make my position clear. First, I'm very willing to entertain the idea of regional capitals, but only when they appear in the game. If they haven't been implemented, they don't belong on the wiki. Second, the exclusion of conditional geographic borders (what once read "when regionally complete the UK shares immediate in-game borders with" now reads, simply, "the UK shares borders with"), is an incomplete impression of game mechanics and since the wiki is the first contact point it is important to state the facts with the quality this role deserves. Third, while I completely understand the reluctance to reference reality I suspect many citizens will be basing their observations of eRepublik on life and so find it only appropriate to make an exception for the mention of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales as being contrary to their real-life parallels, which are unitary nations, and therefore have a degree of autonomous power, something their eRepublik counterparts lack. Finally, the command to produce the regional table with a width of 75% of the viewer's browser window has been reverted back to the absolute default value, making way for a happily oblivious slab of negative space which is about as aesthetically pleasing as wearing a shirt of your own blood. All the above changes have been included back into the article and we can discus this further via PM. Reprah 05:47, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
P.S., do you want to put the numbers back into the regional table? That took a while and I'm not too enthused at the prospect of doing it again. It allows the table to be sorted by hospital / defence system quality, a feature which is broken without them. Thanks.
P.P.S., Lol, on second thought, nevermind.
You can check all other country pages and their regions include a capital city, so it is important as a reference since some Erepublik region. This is the Erepublik wiki, so adding information about what it should be in real life and how it is in real life is pointless, as they can check Wikipedia for that information. I have reverted some of the information in the opening part in accordance with the usual format of country pages. The table as it is now is even less aesthetically pleasing being too spaced out. I've kept the quality numbers, however, I've made them invisible.--Citizen596922.jpg malta_1990 Icon-Malta.png Icon-UK.png 06:28, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Splitting the wiki article

The article is becoming rather large now and encroaching on the 32kb limit. We may need to start thinking about splitting the wiki article into sizeable chunks. Maybe a "Military of the United Kingdom page" or a "Politics of the United Kingdom" article?--Citizen596922.jpg malta_1990 Icon-Malta.png Icon-UK.png 06:56, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

"Politics of the United Kingdom" sounds good. Reprah 14:08, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Sub Pages

Someone should put all the pages like the congress elections in the Uk into sub pages. Much neater that way. --Sir Graystar Icon-United Kingdom.png got a question? 12:27, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Do you mean like this: United Kingdom/Congress Elections?--AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 14:48, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Some minor changes

As stated before all information appearing here must be factually relative to eRepublik's fictional universe. The following concepts have therefore been either reworded and/or reoriented: "sovereign", "Europe" and "constitutional monarchy", along with the whole "King Steven" theme which has been glossed over as it is entirely fictional. Additionally, the introductory paragraph, which was purposefully excluded, has been excluded once more, and the information it contained has been compartmentalized and moved to the appropriate section unless it was a duplication in which case it has been omitted. Lastly, some minor design cosmetic changes have happened, I'll probably be aligning into columns where I can to save scrolling though I'll be obviously taking 1024 x 768 resolutions into account. Incidentally, Chrome users must suffer layout overlapping until either the Wiki software is updated or Chrome learns to recognize whatever it's missing.

Major Structural Changes

I've done some heavy reorganizing to make the article fit more closely how these sections are organized in game. I have also done some editing to make the article much more readable and understandable for outsiders, and example is making the "King Stephen Fry" section less prominent. --Goku Jones 15:15, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your effort, Goku. However, although it's certainly appreciated, I'll probably be changing some of what has been added as I see fluffy diction, info-dumping and unnecessary formatting. Additionally, while the issue of citizens and regions as two distinct and independent categories is admittedly more a matter of opinion I feel compelled to regard them so. Lumping them together is something like an inconvenient overextension if only to remain true to the game, and our objectives here are different. ~Rep File:Repicon.png 19:23, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

After concerns from Malta1990 about compatibility for other browsers, I have re-edited my changes into a kind of hybrid with the old version.
I have done this in three sections so that the changes can be more easily reverted and/or review.

The first edit covers the content I have added. Partially updates, partially streamlining some sections and partially adding sentences and removing commas. All of the formatting changes in the lists have been removed to be more sensitive to other browsers.
I guess that the other editors will change some of the editing to be closer to the original.

The second edit covers the change in sectioning, using the four in game subsections as base and making more use of level 2 headlines. The level 3 headlines from my first set of edits have been omitted and the politics rearranging has not been added.
I see the point with citizens/geography, however I do think that they are related due to both being heavily tied to history (which I moved here) and it's more elegant to have less sections when possible. The Belgian part of the geography section in particular is very much related to citizens
Coincidentally, moving the History section to it's own article and having the link at the end of the society section has put the article under 30kb and removed the warnings about other browsers.

The third adds medal icons for each of the four main sections. --Goku Jones 21:16, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

I fully agree with Reprah, and I have reverted to the original once again for three reasons:
a) Some pictures spill over into other sections
b) Too many flashy pics next to titles
c) Confusing layout

PS: Please avoid a biased slant in the History section Goku!--Citizen596922.jpg malta_1990 Icon-Malta.png Icon-UK.png 14:20, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm just trying to help improve the article, not open up an edit war. Could you stop reverting the entire article to an out of date version? This time I'll just update the article and not include any structural changes. The "biased" part of the History section was not written by me by the way, I just moved the section to it's own article. --Goku Jones 11:24, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Current Sections:

   * 1 Geography
   * 2 Society
   * 3 Economy
   * 4 Politics
         o 4.1 The Monarch
         o 4.2 Congress (Parliament)
         o 4.3 President (Prime Minister)
         o 4.4 His Majesty's Government
         o 4.5 Political Parties
   * 5 History
   * 6 Military
   * 7 Foreign Affairs
   * 8 Media
   * 9 External links

Proposed Sections:

   * 1 Society
         o 1.1 Geography
         o 1.2 Citizens
   * 2 Economy
         o 2.1 Tax
   * 3 Politics
         o 3.1 The Monarch
         o 3.2 President (Prime Minister)
         o 3.3 His Majesty's Government
         o 3.4 Media
         o 3.5 Congress (Parliament)
         o 3.6 Political Parties
   * 4 Military
         o 4.1 Armies
         o 4.2 Alliances
   * 5 External links

I think that the article could be a little better organized. My proposed version makes more use of subsections and fits everything into the sections used in game. Things such as Government and Media would benefit from being next to each other as the media section mostly deals with government newspapers, otherwise it's mostly more descriptive section headers. I think that the Politics section especially needs some editing also, while the economy section could need expanding. --Goku Jones 12:57, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Structural Changes

I've just spotted some odd edits to the page made by Reprah:

1) The Society heading and Community sections where moved down the page. This broke the entire Society group and moved all important new player contact info and tutorials from the top of the page.

2) The title of the Media section was deleted.

3) The list of IRC/Forums was turned into a table which breaks the formatting at the top of the page, I assume that is why it was moved down?

4) "Reprah is awesome" added in a comment.

I have fixed these changes and hope that future structural changes will be explained/discussed here first? --Goku Jones 21:36, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Changes to top 5 Parties

Just a note that the top 5 parties list is now incorrect, however I don't want to play with it in case I break it :) --Artela 20:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
