When you have images or templates with images in, it can cause the following line of text to start mid-way up the image/template. This can be especially annoying if you want to start a new section, and the preceding image is not relevant anymore. The solution is to use this template to "clear" a line across the page, ensuring the new section is fully underneath the old image. I'll see if I can find any examples for you.
