Should we consider another belligerents3 field?  For WWV we have technically three separate groups, though EDEN an Terra are on the same side de facto, they still may consider themselves independent with different goals.  Kinda like early WWII in RL, before the Allies really got their act together.  Would it be too cluttered if we did that? -- <span style=" color: white; text-shadow:red 0.0em 0.1em 0.5em; font-family: Georgia;">Citizen 6</span> &nbsp; Talk &nbsp; 07:51, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

:Adding third column to the belligrents section will not work as the columns will be too narrow (overflow of content, it's already hardly looking good). I don't understand anything from this template.... I mean how does the template look and how do we use it? :) --Belea2008 Hail eSouth Africa! chew the fat 14:17, 20 July 2008 (BST)

Date fix

Can we change the date variables so that when an end date is put in, it reads more cleanly. Curently it reads like:

Date: Month xx, xxxx - Month
          xx, xxxx

and it looks odd. --Icon-USA.png Citizen 6  Ribbon addition - Silver Award Star.png Talk   07:39, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Another solution is to use eRepublik date: Day X,XXX - Day Y,YYY. What do you think? --Belea2008 23:55, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Day is kinda hard to convert. I like the idea, but it might not work for newbies or casual readers and those of us who still use RL dates because it is more natural. --Icon-USA.png Citizen 6  Ribbon addition - Silver Award Star.png Talk   01:53, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
1. We already have template that converts RL day to eRep day. 12 March 2008 --> 113. 2. I'm not really following what you mean with "reads more cleanly". Do you mean that there should be lines for Begin and End? Or something else? --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 05:20, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, end date should be on a seperate line, maybe a simple <BR> will have the effect so it reads like:

March 23, 2011
March 30, 2011

instead of, like now:

March 23, 2011 - March
30, 2011

The day template is great, but the problem I see is that it might be better to use the RL date, because ...

 • 1) Casual readers might not understand the conversion. RL date makes for easy reading and historical context is more clear for inexperienced players.
 • 2) Editors will have to convert each date manually, or through template, but when doing so on past articles it can be time-consuming and doesn't help with #1.
 • and 3) consistency throughout the wiki. Most dates are usually in RL date in the wiki, even though eRep uses days.

It would be nicer if dates were in both formats. A template that did both would be awesome, though maybe a bit of work.

Example: if editor types March 23, 2011 or 23 March 2011, then wiki produces ... "March 23, 2011 (Day 1219)" or for even more better clarity "March 23, 2011 (Day 1219 of the New World)". But that seems like a pretty complex one to pull off. Would be great though. --Icon-USA.png Citizen 6  Ribbon addition - Silver Award Star.png Talk   09:41, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah. I don't really like using eRep days. I changed the end date so that the end date will now be in separate line. --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 14:52, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
