The Tigra Tribe was a tribal (or neo-tribal) group of eSouth African citizens and a member of eSA Clans United. The group was organized according to a kind of tribal social structure (Neotribalism or modern tribalism) totally unrelated to any kind of ethnic identity.
The members of the tribe work together in unity for the benefit of all, thereby strengthening each other and, in effect, becoming something like a "super citizen".
The tribe, under the guidance of a Chief and a Tribal Council, assisted members in all aspects of eRepublik life - economics, military, politics, etc. Members of the tribe therefore assisted each other to strengthen and grow and to be as effective as possible in the new world of eRepublik.
The tribe had industries (farming of Grain, mining of Iron, and the manufacturing of food and weapons) that provided employment, income, and assistance to members of the tribe. The tribe aimed to be self-sufficient as much as possible.
A Tribal Council (comprised of senior members of the tribe that are qualified and suitable for the responsibility of the position), with the guidance of the Chief of the Council, overseed all aspects of tribal life. Being the Chief or a member of the Tribal Council was seen as a position of responsibility and not a position of power.
The tribe had a citizen militia (comprised of members that are not and do not wish to be enlisted in the eSAAF) that was supported by the tribe so as to effectively assist in the defense of the tribe, region or country when required. The War Chief has the responsibility of building, training and maintaining the Tribal Militia.
During times of war (primarily in defense of eSouth Africa and its' regions) the Tribal Council, under the direction of the War Chief, would issue orders and resources to the Tribal Militia in support of the eSAAF.
What the Tribe did for Members
The Tribe
- provided members with food to help members maintain optimum health
- provided members with employment in a Tribal Company
- provided assistance and mentoring to members
- assisted members with military training and provides members with weapons for training and in times of war
- assisted members wanting to manage companies, publish newspapers, etc.
- facilitated community interaction between members with live chat, forums, regular tribal meetings, sporting events, and games
What Members did for the Tribe
Members of the Tribe
- worked and played for the benefit of themselves as well as for the tribe as a whole by combining effort and resources
- worked daily for a Tribal Company
- trained daily to increase their military skills for the benefit of themselves, the tribe, and the country
- fought for the tribe and country during times of war
- assisted other members when required
- attended tribal meetings and take part in polls, live chats, forums, sporting events, games, etc.
- operated newspapers and/or companies for the benefit of themselves, the tribe, and the country
- made themselves available for the responsibility of being a member of the Tribal Council or the Chief of the tribe

Tribal Newspapers
The tribe currently operates the following newspapers:
- Tigra Times - News about the Tribe and its members plus announcements to tribal members.
Tribal Militia
The Tigra Militia is a citizen militia comprised of members that are NOT enlisted in the eSAAF and have no wish to do so. The militia will assist the eSAAF in the defense of the region or country when required. The War Chief has the responsibility of building, training and maintaining the Tigra Militia.
Tribal Proposals and Polls
Every senior member of the tribe is entitled to make proposals and vote in polls. Any member can make a proposal at any time on any aspect affecting the tribe and its operation. If the proposal is supported it would then go to tribal poll. If consensus is reached in the tribal poll the proposal would then be adopted and implemented by the tribe.
Tribal polls are determined by consensus and not just a simple majority. Consensus requires 75% of the full membership of the tribe agreeing to the proposal, irrespective of the turnout at the poll. For example, if 75% of the membership vote all would have to agree but if 100% of the membership vote only 75% would have to agree.
Tigra Tribe on eRepublikSA
The community aspect of Tigra Tribe is greatly enhanced by our participation on eRepublik South Africa, the official social website and forum for citizens of eSouth Africa. We have our own sub-forums for members of the Tigra Tribe.
All members of the tribe are required to be registered on eRepublikSA and to join the Tigra Tribe member group so as to fully participate in tribal activities etc. The day-to-day operation of the tribe is mostly achieved using the facilities provided by eRepublikSA.
Membership Requirements
A member must be a citizen of eSouth Africa (or be living in an original region of eSouth Africa with the intention of becoming a citizen of eSouth Africa) and be prepared to work together in unity for the benefit of all members.
A member must be registered on eRepublik South Africa and join and participate in the tribal member group.
A member must work for a tribal company at a lower than market salary.
A member may NOT be a member of the eSouth African Armed Forces (eSAAF).
A member must be prepared to be a member of the Tribal Militia and become well trained so as to effectively assist in the defense of the tribe, region, or country when required.
A member must assist and be supportive of other members at all times.
A member that has become an elder of the tribe must be prepared to be a member of the Tribal Council, War Chief, or Chief of the Council if he/she is qualified and suitable for the responsibility of the position, bearing in mind that being the Chief or a member of the Tribal Council is a responsibility and not a position of power.
Joining the Tribe and Growing as a Member
If you are interested in joining the Tigra Tribe you can contact any existing member of the tribe to express your interest as membership of the Tigra Tribe is by invitation only. Any senior member of the tribe can nominate a friend for membership and the prospective member will then be considered for junior membership by consensus of the tribe.
Junior members can achieve "adulthood" and become "senior" members (by consensus of the tribe) after advancing 150 experience points since joining the tribe. Only senior members can make tribal proposals or participate in tribal polls.
Members become "elders" of the tribe after advancing 350 experience points since becoming a senior member of the tribe. Only elders can be members of the Tribal Council.
