Union Progresista (Progressist Union in English) was created in February 2011 as a project of revival of the Chilean left, and with the support of many former PS (Partido Socialista de Chile). The anger came from Partido Rodriguista (PR) where the Progressist Union hinted as a kind of salvation as the New Left eChile.
The idea was born when Camilov Lennon and Joaqmuo, dissatisfied by showing conservatism within the existing PR and disorder. Many members joined together, collected 
40 GOLD and created the Union Progresista.
Among its founders are Camilo Silva (kmilon), Camilo Rojas (Camilov Lennon), Joaquín Muñoz (Jimo.Joaq), Gabriel Ortiz (Gabriel Ortiz), Cristobal Navarro (C.criis), José Miguel Pérez (xKodakx), the latter comprises in March.
The party had a paramilitary military unit named Legion Pro.
