United Kingdom/Citizen Awards
Citizen Awards
This scheme was approved by Parliament on 19th July 2008.
Citizen of the Month Award
A ‘citizen of the month’ is selected by congress in the middle of each month and rewarded with a cash prize of 50gbp.
Each congressmen may nominate a candidate with reasons why they think their nominee should be selected. Nominations can be entered on the thread over a fixed period of 2 days.
At the end of the 2 days, all congressmen are entitled to vote for the winner.
The criteria for nomination is:
1. Any citizen other than a congressmen
2. Someone who has made a big contribution to e-uk though war effort, interesting suggestions for improvement to e-uk or e-rep, interesting articles or just positive contributions to debates.
3. The nominee need not be active on the e-uk forum as their efforts might be focussed in e-rep, though hopefully winning the award would encourage then to register on the forum…
Amendment
This legislation was amended to remove the e-OBE section, due to it being incorporated into the larger Honours legislation.
