Template:Congress

Please add the following information to Template:Congress (and after adding them, ask for their deletion):

  • German Bundestag January 2009
  • German Bundestag February 2009
  • Template:USCongresses
  • Template:CROCongresses

Thanks for the help! --Geo "Talk Pages" Belea 08:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Bump. Do you need any help with it? --Geo "Talk Pages" Belea 11:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't really see the need for putting old congressmen in. If someone wants to use the templates then they can go right ahead and put them in. I'm working on a tutorial page (List of Congressmen/Help). -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 23:59, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

What? You sure you wrote to the right person? --Aryamehr Flag of Iran talk 15:25, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I was wondering about these pages? The don't seem to have any information.

  1. Congress/January 2009
  2. Congress/January 2009/Australia
  3. Congress/January 2009/Australia/Advance Australia Alliance
  4. Congress/January 2009/Australia/Aus Democratic Socialist Party
  5. Congress/January 2009/Australia/Australian National Party
  6. Congress/January 2009/Australia/New South Wales
  7. Congress/January 2009/Australia/Victoria

Please mark them for deletion if you do not need them anymore. Also, I want to remind you to put Categories on all of your congress pages. I suggest for the main ones, like Congress/March 2009, you add [[Category:Congress]] and for the other pages you just put [[Category:Australia]]. Thanks. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 04:23, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

United Nations Deletion

I need some of your insight into the deletion of the United Nations pages I made. I pleaded my case on QJ Lincoln's talk page, who just deleted the pages earlier today. The discussion is here. -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 16:12, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

I deleted the pages per the Deletion policy. Or in other words, the delete template was on the page, it was well past the allotted time, and there was no discussion questioning the deletion on the talk pages. These pages were marked for deletion by Belea2008 citing copyright violations. I know there was a discussion about the use of the UN some time ago but the delete template being on the page signaled to me that the decision was to delete the pages. I will restore the pages and move them to Mr. Awesome's name space.
The final decision about the use of the United Nations logo and/or name needs an official decision by the Wigs and lawyers. I agree with Belea2008's assessment that use of the logo is a copyright violation. Use of the logo makes it seem as if the organization is sanctioned by the UN. When the decision is made, the author should be informed so that he can make appropriate changes. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 05:23, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I could put a disclaimer that says that we are not affiliated with the UN. -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 20:52, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
No, that would be like me opening a restaurant called "McDonalds*" (*not affiliated with the multi-national McDonalds.) Wouldn't it be easier to think of a new name and a new logo and avoid the problem all together? League of Nations? United New World? --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 21:09, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Mr. Awesome, it's not like me or QJ have an issue with you or your idea. Regard our comments as advices.
I like people with ideas and new revolutionary movements/concepts in the New World. I will back them if it is needed, but...
...I have witnessed a few cases in which citizens have lost A LOT MORE than 4 Wiki pages.
I'm talking here about creating an idea, develop it, become successful and attractive (putting your time, energy and passion in it) and losing it ALL just because of using real life brands/logos/texts.
I'm just asking you to believe me when I say that your pages may be deleted without notice at any time by the eRepublik Staff. Copyright infringements should be and is taken very seriously.
I'm giving you the same advice I gave to Srachit - contact UN yourself (or collaborate with the eRepublik Team to contact them together) and ask them if your project is an infringement or not.
It's your decision what to do:
  • listen to QJ and slightly change the name and the logo;
  • contact UN yourself;
  • go on with the idea as it is and ask for Admin approval.
If you choose the third option, I will move back this discussion to the Admin talk page.
May you contribute much and well!
--Geo "Talk Pages" Belea 22:08, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I figure we'll just skip the speculation all together. I sent an email to the UN Publications Board. When they get to me, we'll see what happens. -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 23:31, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
The pages are in your sandbox, please put the deletion template on them so that they can be deleted from the system, thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 19:16, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Something Strange

There is something strange with your congress list. It has automatically added the category "Congress" to the following pages:

  • Australia
  • New South Wales
  • The Australian National Party

These pages should not be in this category. Thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 04:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Don't Forget

Don't forget to put categories on your Congress pages for April! :) --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 23:00, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

All pages in the wiki need to be categorized, it is one of the main ways that we can keep order in the wiki. All of the syops check Special:UncategorizedPages and try to categorize pages. You might need to revise your template in order to give it a category. Talk to AgentChieftain or one of the other more experienced template makers. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 00:18, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I messaged AgentChieftain about the subject. Do you really want every one of those pages in the "Congress" category? As of now there are upward of 25 pages. Perhaps they should have their own category?
The subpages are specific to Australia, so should be in this category [[Category:Australia]] if you would like to make a subcategory [[Category:Australian Congresses]] that should be fine. Only the Main directory page should be categorized under Congress. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 14:53, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Redirects

Please do not create any redirects for the time being. Read all of the gory details in the Bar. Thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 21:04, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello. Are you still involved in this project - http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/eRepublik:WikiProject_Politics - thanks in advance for the answer! --Belea2008 01:58, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

I would have to say no -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 14:15, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

YOU HAVE RETURNED? YOU MUST FIGHT FOR SUPREMACY!

Welcome back, Mr. Awesome. Did you want to take over WikiProject:Australia again? It was, after all, your "baby" --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin| Say G'Day 06:35, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
I don't think I'm going to take it over again. It really had no purpose that could not be discussed on the Aus forums. The only good thing that came out of it was the History of Australia page, so I think that is what we should focus on mainly. -- Citizen1257373.jpg Mr. Awesome | Talk | 19:31, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Belea told me to bug some people...

So I am doing so. There is a proposal currently being voted upon regarding a unified colour template, located here. Your opinion on the matter would be greatly appreciated. --Icon-Australia.png Timeoin| Say G'Day 09:26, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
