As a cabinet position appointed by the party president, party vice president can't replace the party president if he's banned, dies or resigns. However, that position implies the person appointed to it is the second-to-command in the political party. As such, he has the following functions:
- To lead the political party when the party president isn't present temporally, in features that aren't of his exclusive power. For example, to give orders to the party congressmen about law proposals or to the other cabinet positions about party internal affairs.
- To verify that the party country president follows and implements the party program in the nation.
- To represent the Party in conversations with other political movements and parties, both national or foreign, in search for international alliances or electoral coalitions.
