The History of Zycon Industries
The very idea of Zycon Industries, the seed that grew into the mega corporation we see today, was created within the mind of Squiddy. Shortly after deciding to go ahead with the idea, he approached his closest Erepublik friend, Hassan Pesaran, who agreed to join as a shareholder/Director. The plan initially thought up by the two focused on supplying the country with Raw Materials, specifically wood and grain.
Post V1 launch, plans were radically changed to expand Zycon into a multi-national mega corporation. This act saw 3 new Directors join Zycon Industries, Alan Hammond, roadrunnerspeed and CBall, With a concentrated focus on global expansion. This new team consisted of peopled that were some of the very best in their fields of expertise; Squiddy at the helm, with a vast amount of ever increasing political influence, Hassan Pesaran with an unrivalled level of media expertise, Alan Hammond and Roadrunnerspeed providing professional levels of economic and financial ability and CBall bringing up the rear with a solid grounding in all aspects of Erepublik. Unfortunately, a couple of week after Zycon was launched, it was agreed by everyone to drop Hassan Pesaran due to his lack of available time and and funds.
Each member of the board brought a large investment with them to the table, in the form of gold, companies or both.
Zycon is a corporation run by several shareholders. Whilst its main focus is in the UK, it also has assets in Norway and Indonesia.
As Zycon grew it acquired more assets, Gone Wild Gifts being the most recent. It had 6 companies spanning across 5 industries and 2 countries. Despite it being a newly created corporation, Zycon has quickly become known by a lot of people in the UK. Zycon Forts, its Defence System company, has grown to become the single largest supplier to the United Kingdom. Another recent achievement for Zycon Industries was to create the UK's first and the worlds third Q5 Gifts company, placing the United Kingdom on a rather elite production capability list.
