Y: We have a news article with 12 votes and a few comments of people coming back.

X: 12 Votes is not equal to "Pakistanis" coming back, and those who posted in the comments are still active (for example Dr Tanner). There is no evidence that "Pakistanis" left. There is no need for this to even be mentioned, it's supposed to be a fair and neutral wiki.

Ok, translators are spreading, so we should shape them all.

Main problems ATM

Checking

Although the ppl that check RC can control "normal" edits, only a few can check localized ones. For the moment no problem has arose with foreign editors, cause they've mostly translated, and translating is less prone to produce discussions, compared to creating new content which may arise several quarrels.

My idea: create a "Translation bureau" composed of (supposedly) expert users, which are trustable. I can monitor Italian pages, but IMHO we need more people for the other languages. +1 good idea. We need language representatives that know how to use the appropriate menus and templates to translate (and who can show others). These people also need to check other pages in their native languages to verify translation (everyone needs an editor!)

New pages

Translating old pages and templates works well; I fortunately managed to shape it in a (luckily) convenient form, which allows many nifty things. What about pages that just wont be translated into English? I'm thinking, for an example, at the complex hierarchy of Tutorial, which goes far from mere translation. Czechoslovak version

Hello, Czech and Slovak community wants make Czechoslovak language version. Czech and Slovak are very similiar language (somewhat as two dialects of same language). We both have very small active communities and all its citizens are in favour of this idea. So when I was asked if I am interested in Czech e-wiki, I propose this what was already agreed. How its in other games? In majority of games which I have played when was created Czech or Slovak version, there wasnt need make another. However, we will make straight competences which articles should be in Czech and which in Slovak to make possible further dividing to two language version. Language should be called Czechoslovak and flags should be Czech and Slovak, so it would look like current English with US and UK flags. It was told me rather ask there, so what are yours opinions? Right now, the most current challenge is creating a spot for each country on the List of Congressmen page. The good news is, for every consecutive election, it will be as easy as copying and pasting, only having to worry about minute changes in regions/parties. Once this system is out there, I think it will be a great success. This is one of my major problems. The system was entirely under my user. Once this thing is up and running, there will be thousands of pages under my user that will need redirecting and everything like that. Singed. I dropped an eye (or two) on the whole code of the idea (from all the pages) and I realized that I have no idea where to start if I want to change something in it. Like I stated in another place and time, please think for a few minutes at us "mortals" (a.k.a. non-coders) and take time to clean the code and make it so that it can be easy to understand/modify.

And I agree (with miniBill and you) that you can move the template to Main space any time you wish.

UBER EDITORS, HELP ME! I have a new dilemma. In my current system, the full list of congressmen would be entered into a page like Congress/January 2009/Australia, then the code from that page would be copied to a page like Congress/January 2009/Australia/Victoria where a specification would be made to only display the congressmen from said region/party. What is bugging me is that if there is an edit on the first page, then that edit does not show up on all of the subsidiary pages since the code was copied and not linked to it somehow. The task at hand is to find that link. Once Congress/January 2009/Australia is made, Congress/January 2009/Australia/Victoria should automatically be updated with the appropriate list. Number 3 is a page that I am trying to embed into number 2. I want to take the code from page 3 and input it into the template on page 2 so that I use that code to call up the template. Is there a way to embed another page into a template call-up on another page???????? --

IRC

I was wondering how about having an IRC on lets say Rizon server for the wiki?? so anyone who has a problem and needs it to be solved can come there and ask, any uber editor there or any experienced editor can quickly help the person. This way the person wont lost interest in wiki editing as some people lose interest if they cannot do something immediately and we would have better wiki pages out there.-------Srachit

There is one. Last time I checked it was ran by someone who hardly did anything on the wiki and who had given power to non-sysops. Whenever it is officially ran by the Erepublik staff then it would be something. I can not remember the link, but I think it is on rizon, try #e-wiki or #erepublik-wiki etc. --Aryamehr

My idea:

"Official" channel -> good (It would be good to have a central union point for wiki editors, aside for the Bar, which is for longer talks)
"wigs" owned -> bad (I prefer it being owned by Uber Editors, a list which includes many of the most active editors, and can be expanded)
many people -> good (self-explanatory)
"controlled" speech -> bad (I want to speak without thinking about controlling the things I write)

A contributor sees an article. He/she considers that it can be improved. In this case two things are taking place:

he/she considers that some parts need to be removed - I suggest stating the reasons in the talk page (no relevance to the whole article, very biased and it cannot be reworded, etc.) - keep in mind that almost any statement can be rephrased.
he/she considers some parts to be biased - I suggest writing in the talk page a suggestion for rewording.

Apparently, the "Portal" namespace did not existed. It was created, but some pages are not available for the moment (example: "Portal:Military"). Contract - the team will release as soon as possible information regarding moving of Contracts in the Wiki
Portal - the existing 3 portals were temporarily moved and they will have to be moved back
Beta - all pages with "Beta/" in the name will have to be moved to this namespace so that these pages do not appear when citizen search for a certain idea
Suggestion - just an idea for the moment.

Indonesian version

Log 05:03, 26 February 2009 (UTC) , Indonesian editor wants to create Indonesian version for the bar? Any suggestion, where to start? Or any references from the existing version? Please help me and tell me what to do first? Because I do not know where to start. I made some pages about regions of Philippines. Thanks for checking it. I think it's really important to start Indonesian version ASAP because lot of activity and political movements done by Indonesia, if I delay it since no one takes initiative, it will be troublesome to track back the history in the future, I mean, we are losing the time to track the missing key. Anyone from Indonesia want to lend me a hand?? (For data mining a.k.a. collecting data)
