Magyar Hazafiak Pártja (Eng. Hungarian Patriots Party; abbr. MHP) was established as the fourth party in 
Hungary, founded on 7th of May 2008 by pipec as a Far-Right party. It is the oldest active party in Hungary and one of the oldest active parties in the New World. The party never changed its name throughout its existence.
History
Early days
MHP was accused of multy-accounting almost immediately because the number of members grew up to 100 in one day - when the whole of Hungary's population was barely above 500 citizens.
Because MHP was always the biggest party - with a quite passive membership - the party was almost always a member of coalition governments, but rarely gave presidents directly[1].
The next big multi-accounts scandal in the party came in 2009 when bekesjarokelo was banned while being a party president, and with him, the party lost hundreds of members. The interim party president at the time, Lisztes, was trying to make the party reputation good again, by launching an anti-multi-account policy.
Dissapearance and reappearance
The party with original ID 1081, disappeared in 2010 when Hungary was erased from the world map. Sometime in late November/early December 2010, the party was reborn, this time with ID 3399 and center-right orientation.
Newer times
In 2014 MHP was often 6th by its size so some of its members went to the top 5 parties to become Congress candidates. In 2023 it was discovered that the party is well out of the top 5 largest political powers in Hungary, ranging between the 6th and 8th largest political parties in Hungary.
