The Ukrainian Insurgent Army was created on September 19th, 2008.
Contents
Important
The Ukrainian Insurgent Army of eRepublik was a guerrilla resistance army that is concerned with protecting the sovereignty of Ukraine and other non-imperial states. It was not connected to the UIA groups in reality.
Organization
The Ukrainian Insurgent Army is organised hierarchically, with the Army Council at the top headed by the Chief of Staff.
Army Council
The UIA Army Council is a collection of Republican leaders who act as an executive for the entire organization. Its leader is the Chief of Staff, but any member of the Council may suggest actions to take. All decisions are voted upon by the Council, with internal actions being passed by a simple majority and external actions requiring a 2/3 majority.
Active Service Units
All Ukrainian Insurgent Army members are organised into Active Service Units under the general command of the ASU commander. One ASU is assigned per battle area, and the unit may be very small or very large in size. An ASU may also be divided into squads if the Commander sees fit. The membership of an ASU varies in numbers and strength considerably.
Ukrainian Republican Brotherhood
The UIB is a grassroots Republican movement attached to the UIA. It consists of many members with varying levels of commitment to the organisation. The URB provides the UIA with a group to draw resources and manpower from, and thus is becoming increasingly important.
Membership
- Please read Notes on Guerrilla Resistance in eRepublik
The general membership of the UIA varies depending on what action the organisation is carrying out at the time. As a guerrilla force, the UIA does not depend upon a stable, permanent manpower base, although it does have a core number of dedicated people. Members are also not obligated to fight in UIA actions, and may select which actions they wish to participate in.
Once committed, however, the members are expected to follow the orders of their commanders in warfare.
