Austria First was a political party in Austria.
For a time, it was the second largest party in Austria. Party was created by Von Doom in the early days of the New World. It was a left wing political party which could not compete with dominating Austrian International Movement. After arrival of V1, Von Doom left eRepublik and party was taken over by dontaco.
The party was dissolved at the height of its power (with a controlling interest in Congress of Austria) in November 2008, when don taco and most members of party received a Permanent ban for cheating. After surprisingly good showing at Congress election, Party members gave a full support to a Take over group led by Victor Petrescu which took control of Moldovist Party of Austria enabling Romanians to take a complete control of a Congress of Austria. However after few days Party president and most members of the Austria First party received a permanent ban for multi-ing. With loss of control in a congress Romanians left Austria. This was last attempt by Romanians at taking over the Congress of Austria.
Party Forum, which was run by former Party President and party creator, Von Doom, was closed, with following message still visible in January 2012:
"Evidently a large number of members of Austria First were cheating. I find this to be horrible considering that I donated a large amount of Gold to the party before my departure.
I have therefore shut down the board permanently since the party no longer exists."
