G.A.P. is an elite force highly active and with high standards for recruits to become members, usually placed in the Top 5 Portuguese Military Units Rank.
This Military unit although private cooperates with the Portuguese national efforts and shows no animosity against any other Military Unit.
History
It was Day 1,347 of The New World when disgruntled ex-FARP members, unhappy about the course their Military unit was following, Mrs. Hazelnut with Lausse, AC40, PolarisPT, ogecrom30 and FilipePedro created G.A.P. FilipePedro soon after left the project and the command structure was lead by Mrs. Hazelnut followed by Lausse.
Real life forced Mrs. Hazelnut to step down as Commander and AC40 took over promoting to 2nd Commander Valongus and still having PolarisPT and ogecrom30 as 2nd Commanders. At that time, G.A.P. started with a peculiar and democratic commanding structure where Commander considers all 2nd Commanders as his equals.
Later, Bitorino become a Commander for a while in 2014 with AC40 and Valongus as 2nd Commanders. In 2015, AC40 was again commander, 2nd Commanders became Kazoany and MelkorPT, while Bitorino continued as the Captain of the only Regiment active.
In March 2019, it was discovered there are only 8 soldiers in the unit, commanded by AC40 and Kazoany as the second in command.
Members and Recruits
G.A.P. originally had 40 fighters, more than half always active every day, divided by three Divisions: the Regiments.
- 1st Regiment members were MU's leadership and all the older, most experienced and most active members.
- 2nd Regiment was composed by all the probation members, recruits, newer members and less active players, later merged with 1st Regiment.
- 3rd Regiment was for dead and inactive players and later completely removed.
Recruiting efforts are mainly made on IRC because of selection criteria followed by this Military Unit but they also urge candidates to fill up a form so they can check if the applicant profile meets their pre-set requirements.
