Rican is a citizen of Switzerland.
He is an active Swiss politician, who has served as both President and vice president, as well as performing executive duties in countless departments under many different administrations.
He took part in passing key pieces of Swiss legislation such as the Constitution and the Flying Dove Treaty.
He is considered to be a staple of Swiss society. He has been a major player in Swiss politics for longer than most citizens have been alive. His opinion has been greatly valued by all recent presidents. Though he refuses to be president again, Rican is almost as powerful as one in his own way.
Presidency
Rican's presidency was during one of the more turbulent times in Swiss history. Despite facing many challenges abroad as well as domestically, Rican, along with the help of an excellent cabinet, was able to overcome almost all the challenges faced. During his term, Switzerland retained its freedom and was able to hold a congressional election. One of the more notable occurrences was the passage of the United States through Switzerland, which began a friendship between the two nations. At the end of his term, Rican was asked by many to run for reelection. However, exhausted by the intense political life of Switzerland, Rican declined.
Anti-Imperialist Movement
On January 15th 2012, Rican formed the ANTI-IMPERIALIST MOVEMENT. It was a vision of his to abolish all the senseless wars in eRepublik and stop Imperialistic bullies from preying on weaker countries. The movement soon caught on in the country and has been growing ever since. For the first five months Rican was the leader of the party, until in June he decided he wasn't going to run for re-election, needing a break from eRepublik, and handed the job over to someone else. However, he still plays a major role in the parties community, and its leadership.
