Rivendell Times is a South African newspaper that acts as a mouthpiece for the Spokesman of the Liberal Democrat Party, Lord Elrond Hubbard. It is where most official articles and addresses concerning policy and events for the LDP are published. Lord Elrond also publishes articles on his opinions of South Africa, that are not tied into LDP policy.
History
The paper was originally called The Emancipator, and was established in order to protest actions taken by Josh Frost during his presidency in the USA from December 5, 2010 - January 6, 2011.
Upon moving to South Africa, Lord Elrond changed the name to the Rivendell Times, and used it as a platform for his congressional candidacy. Once he became Spokesman of the Liberal Democrat Party, he decided to make it the official mouthpiece of the party.
