Staff Officer is an officer in an organized military branch, who is tasked with duties and jobs other than commanding a squad, ship, platoon, company or other unit with fighting soldiers.
Such tasks may be Press Officer, responsible for media presence in a country and recruitment, or Supply Officer, in charge of military company management and supplying of weapons and other items to soldiers.
