Kilusan ng Makabaang Pinoy (currently Kilusan ng Makabayang Pilipino), was the second largest and most active political party in the Philippines today.

History

The KMP was formed mainly as a reaction to the havoc created by the Secta del Guru Varnish during their Political Takeover (PTO) here in April of 2009. Seeking for a party that will work to protect ePhilippine interests, a group of nationalist ePinoys, led by Apinyaku and Nikko_33, decided to band together to achieve this goal.

The first step towards this was securing a party of their own. They decided to PTO the Secta's party, to give them a dose of their own medicine, during the Party Presidential elections of May 2009. However, before this could happen, the Secta group fled the country since they were slowly being outmaneuvered in the political scene, and they know they could not sustain the chaos they had created for very long.

So the group marched into the party and since then had handled it responsibly. During its first foray in the Congressional elections (May 2009), it won 13 seats, out of 15 candidates fielded. This winning tradition has been maintained by the party in every congressional elections to this day - achieving high success rates of victory, and maintaining a significant presence in congress.

Aside from the legislative, the KMP has been actively involved in the executive branch of government - holding key positions in vital government departments (Labor, Finance and Education), helping to maintain stability and progress.

One of the party's biggest achievement is contributing 100 gold (out of the 300 needed) to the Q5 Hospital that the Filipinos now enjoy in Palawan. Another 100 gold was given for the upgrade of New DoHA Weapons (a Q5 weapons factory), sort of Philippines' national armory They remain active in national projects that would benefit everyone and back it up by helping run it and contributing whatever or however much they can.

So that, in a nutshell, is KMP - one of the most active and progressive parties in ePhilippines. The nationalist stance is not restricted to RL Filipinos. The party define its brand of nationalism to include all eFilipinos (RL or not), who have the best interests of ePhilippines in their hearts.
