Creation

The Independent Labour Party is the predecessor of the N.S.I.W.P, a party which was created on the 7th of January 2011. On January 25, 2011 the name was changed to become the "Irish Workers Party". Finally on the 25th of February 2011 it was renamed once more to become the "Independent Labour Party", under the party leadership of MikeBane (founder).
