The independent Social Democrats is a political party in the Czech Republic.
History
The independent Social Democrats were formed by Leo Ruby out of the old United Slavs party which had gone inactive, in September 2010, due to a perceived need for a center-left party in the Czech Republic.
Mission
FOREIGN AFFAIRS We support signing alliances with our allies and neighbors, but oppose joining either PEACE or EDEN. As a small nation, the iSD believe that it is our RESPONSIBILITY to support other vulnerable nations, and we are strong supporters of Sol as well as the Slavic Brotherhood. We also wish to come to peace with our neighbors Poland and Slovakia, and hope that our membership in the SB will help this.
INTERIOR AFFAIRS
I. Party Elections
a.
The iSD opposes any and all PTO attempts against it and other parties, unless the parties themselves have been PTOed and it is an anti-TO operation. Everyone deserves an outlet for their opinion and a way for that opinion to be represented, and PTOing parties takes away their right of representation.
b. In the time of an emergency, the party president may declare a vote for the official candidate for party president to lessen the threat of a successful PTO.
II. Presidential Elections a. The presidential candidate is chosen in a vote by the party members, with the candidate receiving the majority of the vote receiving the party’s endorsement; should the party be filled with a majority of PTOers, then the president has the right to choose his or herself as candidate.
b. The independent Social Democrats will not endorse a candidate for the presidency unless he or she has a solid platform which answers real goals, not just partisan propagandizing. We want intelligence in office, not an idiocracy.
III. Congress Elections
a. Anyone may candidate for congress, but the party president will compose an official list of candidates; if you are not on this list, you may lobby the president to be on it, and he or she may change his mind depending on the situation. To be endorsed, a candidate must have a clear platform that deals with actual issues, and not the above mentioned partisan propagandizing.
THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT
The independent Social Democrats support the Czech Socialist Republic because is has brought much good to the Czech Republic...multiple invasions have been warded off, we have two MPPS, high gold reserves, and everyone has a job. However, we strongly oppose the PTO of all opposition which, while not organized by the CSP or CCP-ML, was not exactly discouraged either, and was not helped by the Liberal’s own attempts at PTOing the Socialists.
THE COUNTRY
a. We support the current Socialist economy, but believe that business owners should be have the opporunity to sell their companies to the state, before they are run out of business. In this way, a smoother transition would be made, no one would have to switch jobs, and the business owners, who have put a lot of work into their companies, would not come out empty handed.
b. We support alliances with our allies, but are strongly opposed to joining Phoenix, who is little better than EDEN when it comes down to it. The independent Social Democrats believe that, as a small country, it is our duty to aid other small nations, and work together against imperialism and invasion from larger nations. It is for this reason that we support the Czech Republic joining Sol, the neutral alliance of small nations. If the Czech Republic joined Sol, it would be a crucial victory for Sol, expanding them into Europe, and for every small nation that joins, they grow stronger and we grow stronger, because though they may be small, we have a group of trusted allies.
