Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Swiss Liberal Party to provide a strong alliance between the members so they are able to contribute toward the improvement of society. The Party will strive to encourage each citizen to achieve his or her greatest potential. Throughout the learning process, the SLP shall emphasize democratic values and good citizenship towards the improvement of eSwitzerland. These lessons learned shall be used to create better presidents and congressmen of the future.

History

The Swiss Liberal Party has roots going back to October, 2009. The exact start date is not known. This version of the party died out in June, 2011. The current rendition of the party was formed in March, 2012.

Reformation

The SLP was reformed in March 2012 by mungos95, around when the Swiss Reform Coalition was facing collapse. After the formation of the SLP, the top party in Switzerland went from being the SRC to the SLP by August 2012, due to mungos95's party programs. The Swiss Liberal party was the strongest party in Switzerland for a long time. This success died down by 2013, especially as the goals of the SLP were low priority in the face of Cronoss' PTO invasion of Switzerland.

Gaining Influence

In April of 2013, jkli5 was elected party president. His invitation policy led to the SLP surpassing the PTO party The Others in the national ranking, making it second. [1] This gain in membership ultimately led to there being a high population of younger members, which was a point of concern in the June election between Kaad and Hunter4Life123. [2] This again was a concern in the July election where remi.remi won, however after those elections the party fell into somewhat inactivity. PP remi.remi won August, September, and October elections, which shortly after the latter he decided to dissolve the SLP.
