4th Contest - Sweden 2018
The next edition of the competition was set by zzzingo (CP of Sweden during the previous contest) to take place in Sweden in early 2018, but no action was done. The contest was paused once again, this time maybe permanently if no one else is gonna revive it in the futeu.
Award
The award of the winning country is the ability to host the next contest and also fame. I some cases there has also been prize money that has been transferred to the Country Treasury.
Rules
Those rules are either for organizing a contest as the host or as a participant country either for song itself.
From the 1st contest, there have been decided few and basic rules, as it was the first time something like this was organized. Each country may have its own rules when it selects its entry, but in the end it must within the limits. Citizens of a country, are referred as the the players who have the CS of that country.
Representative
Representative is the member of the government or a citizen appointed by the government, responsible for organizing the participation of his/hers country at the contest. It's the one responsible for the communication with the hosting committee of the contest, the song selection and the voting of his/hers country.
The representative may have other players helping him. If there's any problem, he/she can appoint another player for specific jobs with the hosting committee.
Song selection
A country has the option of:
- holding a national final, where citizens from that country propose their songs and later they vote to select the winning song.
- a direct assignment of the entry, where the goverment or the appointed representative selects the entry itself.
Songs
The artist(s) of the song must be from the country they represent.
There's no limitation at the duration of the song.
There's no limitation at the language of the song.
There's no limitation at the release year of the song.
Instrumental songs are allowed.
Real Eurovision songs are allowed.
Voting
The countries should hold national polls where they vote for other countries. How they will hold it it's up to them, but all countries must make the poll during the voting deadline, else if no poll is made thus no votes from that country, then it will be disqualified.
In case of ties at critical places, such as the 1st place for the final scoreboard or for the votes of each country, the real Eurovision's rule is followed:
First, it's most voters. If still tie, then most 12's, 10's etc.. If still tie, then the country that performed first during the contest, unless it's the host country.
