Main article: History of Belgium

Belgium was among the first countries in the beginning of eRepublik. Belgium's population grew slowly before they agreed to merge with the United Kingdom in April 2008. In February 2009, 10 months after Belgium merged with the United Kingdom, two resistance wars were launched to free Belgium, the first failed but the next succeeded. It wasn't until the 21st February 2009 before Belgium became a complete independent nation.

Mittekemuis was named Queen of eBelgium on July 4, 2011 (Day 1322) by a congress majority[1] and shortly thereafter announced the royals and other nobles of eBelgium in an article Mittekemuis Announcement.

The Monarchy was reestablished in January 2014 and Critically was chosen by the eBelgian community as King and confirmed by congress First update. Critically was succeeded by MCKitkat.

Icon-pact.gif Alliances

Through it's history and mainly through the wars with France and United Kingdom, Belgium has signed Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) with countries, members of ONE, mainly to defend its regions. The Belgian Congress approved recently the Charter of CoT and Belgium became a full member of Circle of Trust alliance in 10/13/2012 [2].

Beginning of November 2013 Belgium left the alliance CoT just like most of it's members did and has since then taken a renewed neutral stance again. Since early 2014 the government decided to take a pro-Sirius stance.

On November 30th 2015 (Day 2932 of the New World) P.L.U.T.O. was founded by Icon-Belgium.png Belgium, Icon-Spain.png Spain and Icon-United Kingdom.png United Kingdom[3]. MCKitkat became it's first leader.

After the disolution of the P.L.U.T.O., Belgium once again took a neutral stance.
