The West Midlands is a region of the United Kingdom covering the western half of the area traditionally known as the Midlands. The area contains both large conurbations like Birmingham and Wolverhampton, but also covers the predominantly rural shire counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Economy
The West Midlands is one of the United Kingdom's three Iron regions, the other two being Wales and the North West of England.
This provides a 20% boost to weapon and weapon raw material production in the country which controls it, provided the region is connected to the nation's capital region and they do not already have access to another of the same resource.
