Alain promised something new and different if he won the elections and even said he would consider re branding the party. Alain Bates was a citizen of the United Kingdom born on January 7, 2008. His death by natural causes was discovered in December 2008.

Biography

During his life time Alain served three terms as mayor of Leeds.

In August of 2008 he successfully run for Party president of The Unity Party. Alain promised something new and different if he won the elections and even said he would consider re branding the party.

When the August Local Elections rolled around one of the first things Alain did was give new citizens the chance to stand for Mayor in several of the UK regions. This lead to the election of two new citizens, Alan Hammond in Leeds and AngelFeather in London. His faith in new members was criticised when AngelFeather failed to take his seat as the Mayor of London. Leaving the busiest region of the UK without firm leadership. This was eventually cleared up with the creation of a Council which gave Squiddy a chance to break into politics.

While Alain cant be credited with reviving the The Unity Party, he was responsible for opening the door on opportunities to many of the parties successful citizens such as Squiddy and Hassan Pesaran which in turn let to a rivival of the parties fortunes


Alain was also head of Department of Employment in the Leeds City Council under Alan Hammond
