Olympics Background
eOlympics is the site where you can strive to represent your country, to win medals, gold and glory. At eOlympics you will train daily at various events to improve your skill, enter events and compete against fellow eRepublik citizens to win. It is held every month and hosted by a country chosen by the eOlympic Games Committee, consisting of delegates from different countries.
An eAustralian by the name of Talej - a man with a passion for sports and a master historian, strolled through the library one day and discovered the real life Olympics, applying it to eRepublik. With the current war between EDEN and PHOENIX, Talej decided that perhaps people should put their personal grudges and weapons for a few days and compete in some friendly competition. And so, Talej reestablished the eOlympics for all eCountries to take part of, regardless of what side they are on.[1]

Archery This sport involves people using what is known as a “bow” to fire a projectile called an “arrow” at a target. Not only it is important for one to score many points in this contest, but actually hitting the target itself is a high must.
Diving This competition involves a person leaping off what is known as a “diving board” that is suspended high into the air. They must “dive” off this apparatus performing elegant moves and must enter gracefully into the water below.
Equestrian In this contest, one must ride an animal that is known by many countries as a “Horse”. This beast must be guided around objects and must strike many poses to leave the crowd in awe. Truly a sport that will test the master and the animal.
Gymnastics People wearing tight leotards known as “gymnasts” will run, jump and flip around on the floor, leaving the audience cheering for more. Not only will the floor be used by other items such as the rings and high bars will assist these gymnasts in stunning the crowd with beautifully executed moves.
Swimming This aquatic sport is very similar to the normal running races people see on land, but all the racing is done on “water”. This bizarre contest involves people swimming in water known as “swimmers”. They will use many different styles of swimming to race against their opponents such as backstroke, breaststroke and doggy paddle.
Triathlon This is more like three events in one than a single event. This “triathlon” involves three different types of races: swimming (see above), cycling (a race involving bicycles) and running (a race involving running). It will push athletes to their limits – a good way to show that you’re the best of the best.
Weightlifting In this event, one must lift various objects known as "weights". The person who lifts the heaviest amount without failing is considered the winner. This sport tests one's physical strength to its peak.
Kayaking Another aquatic sport in which one must ride in a "kayak" and navigate around turns and through rapids using a "paddle". The person who completes the marked course in the quickest time is declared the winner.
