Lesser Sunda Islands is a region in Indonesia and its capital is Mataram.
Geography
The region consists of islands of Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Flores, Sumba, and Timor, among others. Lesser Sunda Islands borders Australia to the south, making it an important region in the war against Australia, along with Java and Papua.

With a population of 343 as of June 10, 2011 (Day 1298), Lesser Sunda Islands was the least populated region of Indonesia (excluding Indonesia’s colonies). Not much attention was given to this region, with the perception that the region will not be a target for foreign attacks, save for Australia (which rarely counter-attack). It was however eventually attacked (and conquered, later freed) during the invasion of China.
